T-Men After Shady

The Mayor's office is today refusing to confirm rumours that a well known Shady Character has been questioned over Tax discrepancies. However a source close to the Mayor has all but confirmed that something is afoot.

Our source, who wished to remain anonymous, has told us that the mysterious Shady Character has been under scrutiny for quite some time, and that he would "finally be getting what he deserves".

When this intrepid reported located the gentleman at the centre of the affair he was sitting quietly at the back of The Mother of Innocence Cathedral saying, he assured me, 'a prayer for all dem dat has lost deir ways." He added, It is my considered opinion like, dat dose at City Hall who knows what's what are not in da habit of makin' dis kinda of error of judgement. It is all a simple misunderstandin". He would say no more on the matter.

We wait wiht baited-breath to see how this intriguing story unravels.

MAYOR MUTE ON SHADY DEAL
Mayor Hollis has stated he has 'No Comment' regarding allegations of kickbacks and bribes in connection with the recent thwarting of charges of tax evasion against a certain Shady Character. However, there are new rumors circulating that the investigating T-Men agreed to close the case if a certain amount of funds were distributed back to the public.

I knew it! Shady must be squirming in his new rattlesnake boots, paid by us I might add ;-) If you see him in the bar be sure to say hi and ask him if he would like a loan to help him pay back some of those unlucky detectives who had dealings with him, hehe.

Wonder if he will be holding a Half-off Holiday sale soon?

Maybe we'll get tax refunds ourselves. LOL. I've spent quite a bit with the Shady Character of the years. It'd be nice to get some back.

Sometimes I wish there was an individual total, on say your detective page, that would show what that specific detective has spent. *sigh* Probably, I don't really want to know. ;)

HOLLIS ANNOUNCES SHADY LOTTERY
The Mayor has announced that Shady funds slotted to be returned to the public will be given to a randomly selected Detective, since the licensed Private Detectives that deal with the Shady Character are the ones who have paid him the most money. Watch here for breaking news regarding the identity of the lucky detective.

Poor, poor Shady! Such bad luck! (snickers)
However, from what I can see, this isn't bothering him too much. He's back in action (has he ever stopped?) wheeling and dealing from his favorite spot in the bar. Business as usual, right Shady?

As for Mayor Hollis, he's no paragon of virtue himself. Rumors of paybacks and blackmail are circulating throughout City Hall and whispers of Shady's name is often quoted.

I feel that this saga isn't over by a long shot ;-)

HOLLIS SICK OF LOTTERY DELAYS
The Mayor today expressed his dismay to a gathered throng of media representatives. "We assure the public we are making every effort to conduct the Lottery to dispense certain 'shady funds' as expediently as possible. However, due to a large number of City Officials being incapacitated by a recent spate of food poisoning, linked to the City Hall cafeteria, we have been unable to proceed." When asked if he thought there was anything nefarious taking place, the Mayor smiled nervously, excused himself, and headed for the bathroom.

Am I the only one who can see Hollis getting assassinated very soon if he continues with this?
