Judge of Character skill

I just bought the 'judge of character' skill. But it doesn't seem to work well. I used this skill to judge a suspect and it told me 'I should be tough', so I 'interrogate' the suspect, but she clammed up on me. Another case right after I talked to the last suspect, I used the skill and it told me to be nice, so I used 'sweet talking skill', but she also clammed up on me. What the he*l? What is causing this problem? a bug? Thank you!

judge of character just tells you with which skill you have your best chances. But there is always a chance that you can get unlucky.

If I am not mistaken, the Judge Of Character Skill only tells you the inherent nature of the suspect or witness. That means, whether or not the person is more susceptible to Tough or Charm, all things aside.

That means that it does not take into account the Equipment you have on your body which might change the Tough or Charm stats. Neither does it take into account what level of skill you have, eg Advanced or Intermediate etc.

I believe there is some talk by Sleuth Admin about changing it to refect the Equipment, but I'm not sure if it is implemented yet.

Admin said somewhere quite recently that Judge of Character reflecting your actual skills and equipment is not implemented yet. I'm sure looking forward to that, though...

yea, judge of character reflecting ur actual skills would be quite good and realistic too as say Bob is more susceptible to charm but a detective with 2 machine guns would get him to talk by interrogation rather than charm...

personally i think stress detection is great, have any of u guys watched the program called 'body language'? it showed politicians like bush and blair figeting with their ties and cufflinks when they get stressed lol :-)
