I like the cat who books too. Have you read any of the Midnight Louise books by Carole Nelson Douglass? They feature cats too.

Angels and Demons is the first of the Da Vinci code books- even though I didn't find it AS good as Da Vinci Code, I still think you need to read Angels and Demons first to get a good feel of the character.
And Deception Point, also by Brown, is great! But we also talked about this on another thread.
I used to devour Encyclopedia Brown and Trixie Beldon. I just found all my old Beldon books- the original ones, not the "new" series. Honey and Jim and Bobby- Bobwhites of the Glen.

Wow. Sorry. Such fond memories of my childhood, though. I'm finding Jim Patterson to be a great author- plus, he's featured a local radio station and d.j. to my area in two of his books, which I found to be amusing.

Yeah, I like Midnight Louie, he's one cool cat ;) But my fave out of all of them is the Mrs. Murphy books :)

Sadly, I don't read too many mysteries.

The Cat in the Hat was good, though!

;)

You should really pick a copy up!

Ooh - just found my old One Minute Mysteries with Dr. Haledjian.

Is it just me, or does Brown have way too much gory fun with religious people? (Don't answer that, I know it's on the verge of controversial.)

I haven't been to the boards that often lately, Faeryshan - what thread is it?

Haven't read any Cat books either, Hat or otherwise...

And Aislin - there ain't nothin' wrong with devouring a good book (with a side of Lady Grey and egg cookies... or pizza and beer...).

I must admit i did not care too much for Dan Brown, i could handle him better if he had more than one target. I do have two suggestions though for the crowd. For mysteries i would recomend Boris Starling, british author, only two books so far but very good and for a good historical type novel i would recomend Katherine Neville, she writes some very well researched and intelligent books, she should she is almost head of the IMF.

Maj- the thread with the Dan Brown and Da Vinci code stuff (GREAT thread) was started by Jstkdn and is a couple pages back on this Board. It's simply called Da Vinci Code.

Who's it by?
Another series just came to mind - anyone heard of Cam Jansen? (At least, I think that was her name.) Had a photographic memory and said "Click" every time she noticed something unusual?
