I bought the footprint analysis.

Now I got a new case where I found a footprint evidence. However, it didn't give me the analysis of whether it's from a heavy or slim person.

Anyone?

Well, if you increase your smart score with better equipment, you'll find you succeed in analysing the footprints more often.

Besides, as you do harder cases you'll find that even if you don't manage to analyse the footprint every time, you'll still greatly improve your chance of solving cases.

This applies to all evidence analysis skills, by the way, not just footprints.

(Could a mod maybe move this to the newbie questions thread?)

A smart score of 8 may not be sufficient if you insist on a high success rate on the PE analysis, but you will run into problem questioning the suspects if you wear all smart gears. That's where an apartment or agency locker comes into play. You can keep a set a smart gears in the locker/flat and change when you need to have the PE analyzed.

However, you'll need to be subbed in order to join or start an agency. I am not sure about the subbing policy on apartments (others please help answer that thanks), but everything else about apartments you can find it here:

Have fun saving up!! :)

I'm pretty certain you have to be subbed in order to buy or furnish an apartment. However I do believe you can continue to use apartment furniture once your subscription expires.
