First of all, thanks in advance for all your help.

I just wanted to ask a quick question about 'persistent twists' and location. I get that you can make a twist persistent, but is there a way to make a persistent twist that stops a player from viewing a suspect? Basically, I wanted to make it so that a suspect temporarily leaves the scene, and I was hoping that I could put a persistent twist at his location that says something like 'He must be out of town'.

yep just set the twist to persistent on the actual suspect, then when you want to end it use 'end twist'.

long answer:

Twist Section >Create New Twist :

Twist z42

Location = Joe Bloggs
Duration = Persistent
Effect = Any resultant question/twist etc you might want to attach here. Can be blank.

Then this twist Z42 can be used as an effect from a question or another twist, the crime scene the introduction or 'whatever' .

And then later from another question, twist etc etc it can be ended with 'End Twist z42'.

I personally tend to get people to use this when they have a client or suspects they don't want anyone to talk to before they've visited the Crime Scene.

eg say you read the Intro and then decide to head to the Map Screen (instead of the Crime Scene) to visit some of these people you've just met in the intro. Well when you click on their names instead of getting the usually suspect page with no question, or more awkwardly questions that jump ahead of the crime scene, you get a nice twist that says 'I didn't have time to drive across town to talk to Joe Bloggs, there was Crime Scene that needed to be attended to before policemen with donut-sticky finger and clumsy feet got to it first'.

The this End Twist is attached to the Crime Scene so that the player can go back to the Suspect nd proceed as normal :)
