Dame random twist

Sorry for the double post.

My earlier case featured the dame twist - you know, when I'm offered a ton of money if I quit the case. I completed it and it turned out that my client was the guilty one. The ending mentions that "The satisfaction of wrapping up the case was dampened by the fact that my client was dirtier than mud on a rainy day.".
So, my questions:
1) In this particular twist, is always my client the guilty one?
2) If I quit, do I actually get money? =P

1) no
2) no

No you cannot know who is the guilty one based on the twist you get. Not this one, nor anyone else.
No, if you quit the case, you won't get any money.... - your only hope of getting money for a case are to solve it correctly. Either with an client being not guilty or having pick pocketing skill.

Does this sentence appear in the ending every time?
"The satisfaction of wrapping up the case was dampened by the fact that my client was dirtier than mud on a rainy day."

Just interested.

Every time the client is your killer, you'll probably get that line. It has nothing to do with that particular twist.

It's sad when you spend a lot of money on witnesses to solve a case and then your client ends up being guilty anyway! It sure would be nice to get that bribe money to salve the wound.

What you might want to get is the skill pick-pocketing from the DAB (Dies Arcanum Brotherhood). It's a valuable skill, because even if your client is guilty, you'll always get the reward money. It has delivered me a lot of money that way!
