Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.

Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

I have another riddle:

What rises to the highest hill, and can go down below? What precious thing can harm the snow? What is the lovely thing we want today, but long ago was for the poor? What is the thing that there will always be more...of?

Who makes it, has no need of it?
Who buys it, has no use for it?
Who uses it can neither see nor feel it?
What is it?

If you break me
I do not stop working,
If you touch me
I may be snared,
If you lose me
Nothing will matter.

Thank you....(I forgot the whole lines about God/Devil) I have lines to add to that riddle..
Seen the dark.
The poor have have it- but eat it, they die.
The rich need it.
It's more evil than Satan, it's more holy than God.
What is it?

Here's a couple of riddles -

An original:
It makes s0me things bigger;
it makes some last longer.
It makes some men smarter;
it makes some men stronger.
But if I should tell about the good It's done,
then that would make this riddle one.

And a classic:
Four jolly men sat down to play,
And played all night till the break of day.
They played for cash and not for fun,
With a separate score for every one.
When it came time to square accounts,
They all had made quite fair amounts.
Now, not one has lost and all have gained,
What happened here, can you explain?
