Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.

Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

I dunno guju, Metaphorically speaking I suppose the stock market climbs and falls. As do plenty of other things economically - Like interest rates, the price of tea in China, or the exchange rate of the dollar to the yen. Perhaps taken literary, a very lucky base jumper might qualify as an answer.

example:a "wise" king devised a contest to see who would win the princess's hand in marriage.
the princess was put in a 50x50 foot carpeted
room.each of her four suitors were put in a corner of the room with a small box to stand on.
the first one to touch the princess's hand would be the winner and the new king.the rules of the contest were that contestants could not touch the carpet,cross the plane of the carpet,or hang
from anything;nor could they use anything but their body and their wits(i.e. no magic or telepathy,nor any items such as ladders blocks and tables e.t.c.).one suitor figured out a way
and married the princess and bacame the new king
