Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.

Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

Actually on the hotel room with the 30 dollars and the dollar mistake and the clerk pocketing 2 dollars it is relevent. the 3 guys paid 30 dollars for the room they over paid by 5 dollars wich brought the total to 25 dollars now the clerk realizes his mistake and pay each guy 3 dollars 9x3=27+2 does indeed equal 29 but if you take it this way 30 -5= 25 so each guy paid 25 now the clerk hands 3 dollers back to them 25+3=28 now the clerk pockets 2 dollars which equals the full 30 dollars

A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."

The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.

In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?

The next number will be:
1113213211

And I'm guessing he wrote: "Your exact weight" or maybe even "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50" :D

Have to give the last one some more thought :)
