Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.

Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

How many animals did Moses take on the Ark?

None. Noah built the Ark.

None, I that was Noah.

Wasn't it species of animals?
Did you know that scientists actually studied if all the different species actually could fit in a boat and be attended to by 8 people for so many days.

my bible uses the word "kind" so not sure if it is species or not :), but if it is all dogs would be canine, including wolves etc. and all cat species feline lions, panthers, and housecat ;).
Different scientists have different views on whether they can all fit or not ;).
But.... if you believe in evolution why not just take an ameoba ;)

JoJo227 ... I believe the answer is nothing. Nothing is more evil than Satan and nothing greater than God. As a final line, you could also put: "And if you eat it, you'd die." : o )

Also, the physical dimensions of the Ark as dictated by God in the Biblical account are at the length-width ratio still used by ship builders today.

I have some
1:A magician places a metal ball on a funnel in a table. He puts a sheet over the ball. At the end of the show he lifts the sheet and the ball has dissapeared. How?
2:A man weighing 160 pounds with 30 pounds of gear and 24 pounds of gold came to a bridge that could only hold 212 pounds. He was able to walk across it safely. How?(clue:what wheighs more, a pound of gold or a pound of feathers? This puzzle only uses pounds as weight not as in money. It doesnt work in Kilograms)
3:A man walks into a bar and asks for a drink of water. The bartender pulls out a gun and shoots him. The bartender had a good reason for doing this, even though the man didnt know him.

I'll take a stab at these.

1. The metal ball was encased in ice at the beginning of the show, and once the ice melted the ball's diameter was smaller than the diameter of the hole in the funnel.

2. He goes on a diet and waits until he gets thin enough to cross. (That almost certainly isn't right - but it's the only answer I can think of for that one.)

3. The man had just given the bartender a note stating that the water was only a cover and that it was really a robbery.
