Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.

Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

here's an easy one:
Imagine you're a bus driver. At your first stop, 7 people get on the bus. At the second stop, 2 get off and 5 get on. At the third stop, half of those on the bus depart. At the fourth stop, another 3 get off and 6 get on. At the fifth stop, all but 4 people disengage. At stop six, the number of people equalling the square root of 64 get on. What's the bus driver's name?

Good answers but all wrong.
Clue: St Cyril lived more than one hundred years ago.

ok, i just made this one up, so let's see if anyone can get it

A boy was listening to his c.d. player in the car and the batteries ran out as he reached his destination. He had a spare pair of rechargables so he could just replace the other rechargable batteries in his c.d. player. As he took out the batteries,he places them all in one hand so he could situate the c.d. player so it wouldn't fall onto the ground. Just as he was about to place in the fresh batteries, he forgot which ones were out of juice and which ones would work, he couldn't recharge ones that were already charged due to the fact that the company has put out a warning that overcharging can cause problems with the battery. Not wanting to be late to the family reunion, he asks his brother to help him. His brother takes the battery in is right hand and then picks out the two middle ones and says, "here, you need to recharge these two." How does he know these are the two that needed to be recharged?

I correct myself. St Cyril of Alexandria lived approximately 1500 years ago. His name is remebered today for something very specific, although most people don't make the connection.
