Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.

Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

Wow! I thought no one would get this. But Dr Falco is right AGAIN!!!! You are not sitting with the same deck of cards, that I take these riddles from? :) It is from a game called Mindtrap!

Professor Quantum was on a dig for fossils and other artifacts in the far north. While digging through the layers of snow and frozen tundra he came across a perfectly preserved body of a man. Upon closer examination Quantum leaped for joy at the magnitude of his discovery. The frozen body was none other than that of Adam from the Bible. What was it about this body that convinced the professor that this was Adam.

I have mindtrap, but I actually haven't played it in years, and I don't remember these riddles. :P Just the names in them.

And it looks like JH got this one.

JH sure did!!!!

Shadow a near hysterical call from Art Dodger. "Some thief pried my safe open and made off with all my wife's jewellery! Come over straight away, please!" When Shadow arrived Art recounted his story. "My wife's in the hospital so I've had to fend for myself. I was in the kitchen preparing dinner when I heard a loud noise in the basement. I rushed to the hall to see this woman race past me and out of the front door. I suddenly realized she was carrying my wife's jewellery case. I ran down the street after her, but she was a very fast runner and after several streets she lost me. I walked to a nearby phone and called you immediately." Shadow looked at the dammaged safe and remarked "you better not try that pathetic story on the insurance company or they'll charge you with fraud." What is wrong with Art's story?

There are two holes in the story that I can see. One: A safecracker would logically try to be as silent as possible, so there would be no loud noice from the basement. Two: Art wasn't at home when he called Shadow, he was several streets away. He wouldn't say "Come over straight away," he would say "Meet me at my house," or some such thing. Do either of these answer the question?
