Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.

Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

Elevator answer: The buttons in the elevator for all floors above 8 are broken or missing. He can call the elevator to him outside on the 20th, but he cannot reach that floor.

Maybe the wife is in a wheelchair. He wheels her out and everyone just thinks she's asleep.

Professor Quantum answered his phone to hear an excited Professor Beaker telling him about his amazing invention. "Quantum, you won't believe what I've just discovered! I've developed a liquid that is so powerfull it will dissolve anything! Do you realize the benefit of such a product? It will turn the industrial world on its ear! For a few grand I'll cut you in on 40% of the action." Quantum replied, "There's no doubt in my mind of the value of such a product, but before I invest any money I would want to see proof of your claims, and of course, run a few tests on my own." "No problem," responded Beaker, "I'll bring a half litre of the liquid over in a few minutes." Quantum sighed and replied, "on second thought I'm not interested." Why would he lose interest in such a valuable product?

I have a REALLY tough one. Lets see if you can get this one John Hale!

You are trying to get to a town named Truth Town, in which everyone speaks the truth. You don't want to go to Lie Town, where everyone lies. You come to a fork in the road and there are no signs. A man stands in the middle of the fork and you decided to ask for directions. You, however, are in a rush, and only have time for 1 question. You don't know if the man is from Truth Town or Lie Town. What question can you ask the man to make sure that you get to Truth Town?
