Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.
Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

Why not post it in a "Lateral puzzles" thread, and this one can be re-acquired for normal riddles?

Hey all! New to the thread (and the game), but I have a little riddle. Hopefully everyone hasn't heard it already.
A 25 yr old man is laying dead in the middle of the Saharah Desert. On his back is a pack containing all the supplies he could conceivable need to survive in the desert -- water, food, first aid, etc etc. All of the supplies are plentiful, yet completely unused. The man was not attacked by any person/animal, and there's nothing like poison in his system. Prior to his death, he had no preexisting medical conditions that led to his death, like cancer, diabetes, etc. How did he die?

Crushed to death by over-enthusiastic packing? ;-)

Haha, no, but I hear that can be dangerous.

Close, I'll just give it away since that's pretty much it -- the skydiving guy greabbed the wrong bag.
