I'm new to this intro thing, but I tried to write one. And I'd like to know how am I to know if it hasn't been approved because there's something wrong with it or just because it's still in line for being looked at.
I appreciate the answers I get, and I assure you that I'm not trying to rush anyone.
Thanks.

OK. Did you write under your own name? There's nothing there for Elizabeth March. OR maybe one of the other editors has picked it up. In any event it's not me.

'Usually', you'll be able to see if it's being edited by someone, as you won't be able to make any alterations to it. Of course there's always the possibility you haven't hit 'publish'. :) But I doubt that.

Annnnyway. In terms of how long it takes to edit... how long is a piece of string. We've been pretty good recently, to the point where Ben has at least one SM waiting in the wings to go up. We don't usually get ahead like that.

But then I personally have sat on SM's for months, just from being busy in RL.

We don't summarily dismiss many SM's. If we think it lacks something, you'll get a LONG list of things to fiddle with, with any rejection/return notice.

Hope that helps a little.

SS: " Ben has at least one SM waiting in the wings to go up."
Would that happens to be my 2nd SM or someone else's ? just wondering if mine has been cleared or not or i should be waiting for another list of things to fiddle with :)

Yes, Elizabeth, i believe if the editors have any comment with your intro they're let you know. Happy to see that you have written one. Try doing an SM next. It's great fun to write one, even though it does take a lot of effort and time. Congrats in completing an intro!

Hehehe Squirrel I think Elizabeth was talking about intros not scripted mysteries :)

Elizabeth; Anikka, Squirrel and myself always send out a PM if the intro isn't up to standard. If it's just a few minor issues we'll let you know about them so you can fix them. If it is completely unusable we'll let you know that we have had to 'reject' it.

Thanks for all the answers. Ms. Helen got my point. SS, I did write it under this s/n, so it's prolly being worked on.
Sorry if it was a silly question, I'm just new to this kind of stuff.
Also working in a SM, but I'll try not to put you guys through a lot of pain when I finally submit it.

I'm not in the habit of posting PM's, but in this instance, since it's from me:

Now that Lawrence's SM is up, yours has been sent on to Ben for final approval.

... AND oh Intro not SM, well there you go. I was in automatic pilot mode.
