It would seem that when you get your contacts have less to do with how much experience you have and more with how many favours you manage to complete in succession. If you stay in the same city and solve every case and every favour you will get your contacts much quicker. Often two real life days at most.

Anyway, just reflecting. ;)

Wow! Just two real life days!!! Oh, if ever the Delhi Fortune Teller had been that responsive... - I have used at least 2 full weeks with much more than 12 cases a day to try to catch her, but she have still not budged... ;-)

Anyway, congratulations with your happy contact hunting :-)

If you're disproving my theory I'm very interested to hear it, Irene. It is after all just a theory.

In my opinion getting contacts is random just that. Perhaps in a place you will get contacts quickly than others.

Irene, i believe Ency is talking about ANY contact in one city, and yes, 2 real life day or a bit more should be sufficent (but yes, like what Lawrence said, it is random).

Ency, Irene is talking about getting a particular contact. Sometimes players in the same agency would do that, so that everyone will have a different contact and make group solving easer. It's a huge sacrifice though, because you'd need to quit every PE townie's favour case (in case they become you contact) who are not the one you are targeting... i did it twice, and yes, i took me over a week, or even weeks to do that.

Yes. I wasn't after a particular contact. That is correct. I do get the feeling also that the game circle the favours through all the townies almost faultlessly (emphasis on almost) so that you after having stayed in one city and completed all of your favours for a longer time period you start getting favours for the townies in the same order. Over and over. It will take some time though and it's awfully boring. ;)

Well... I'm on my sixth trip on the Sleuthetania and still only have one contact (picked up on my first trip). I've done all my daily cases every trip and have only had three PE townie favors the entire time. Of course, it could be that I'm the exception...

Yeah, if it only takes you two days...lucky you. I've been stuck in London for quite a while now.

I've yet to meet anyone, subbed or unsubbed, generic contacting or specific hunting, that's managed to track down BOTH contacts in one city in two days. Course, if you're solving 100-200+ cases a day, I s'ppose it's entirely possible. I've known many more people who're in the weeks/month+ category.

And sorry, but the person who tells me that he can solve every case and favor he comes across is either stretchin' the truth (just a weeeeee bit) or a false just waiting to happen.

It just doesn't happen, folks.

Well Breit, here you've met one person xD. I've succeedded into getting 2 contacts in 2 days, same city. Cairo I believe. First day,got the banker. Then the other contact, the spice merchant on the next day. Well,my advice is : "Keep doing favors and keep Sleuthing!".
