Do you have what it takes to outlast all others? Do you think you can rise above the rest and stand out as the ultimate contender? Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Survivor: Sleuthville!

10 Detectives enter, face off against each other in a different challenge every week, and the last left standing will be crowned Sleuth Noir Survivor! The winner will walk away with a one-year subscription to Sleuth Noir and bragging rights over the entire community. The rules are simple:

1. The first ten Detectives to post an entry will be entered and placed on two teams of five.

2. It's advisable to be subscribed. Some of the challenges may require travel, and if you can't participate, it's likely your team will vote you off at elimination. I won't bar anyone based on this, but it's your call.

3. The losing team at the end of each event will have to vote off one member. To do that each team member will submit a PM to me, which will remain anonymous with the name of the person he or she is voting for, and a short reason why. It can be as simple as-

Name: Heimlich VonVictor
Why: He didn't write any of the poem. It's no wonder we lost!

4. Challenges will be one week long and a winner will be announced at the end, in the event of a tie, a coin will be flipped.

5. Anyone may enter including mods, editors, or even Ben and Sunny themselves if they so choose.

6. The contest will begin when all ten detectives have entered and been placed on teams. It will conclude after nine weeks of elimination challenges.

That's all! Get out there and outwit, outplay, and outlast!

Joseph Zeo congratulations, you have won immunity for yourself for the second round in a row. All contestants, please PM me your votes within 24 hours. While this is a double elimination, all players are able to vote until elimination, and no one is eliminated until the elimination ceremony.

P.S. Don't try to be a wiseguy/girl and vote for an already eliminated player or an immune player, because the active player with the most votes is still going.

Thanks to everyone who had participated in the endorsement process, no matter who you voted for. It's been great to see the entire community pitch in to do this. In a way, it was pretty exciting to watch. ( btw Misouri, thank you for you and 'your friend's' vote although he's underage anyway; need to be 100 days old +. oh, and it's already past the deadline ;P )

As I said to some people was I in contact with, I hope you all continue to watch as the game approach its climax. It was sure be a hell of a ride! I must also thank Heimlich for his creativity and thoughts in designing so many challenges, and endure our complaints in the past and possibly in the future as well. Really appreciate it. (okay, sucking up done, knowing it probably won't do me any good...)

pretty impressed so many people came out of the woodwork to vote for this. That was either their overwhelming interest, or JZ's unflagging ability to pester err canvas people for votes. Either way, well done!!

Welcome Cherokee tribe to your third elimination. As mentioned before, two contestants will be going home this week. As many of you may have guessed, as the contestant with the lowest amount of endorsements, the first person to leave this week will be... miss snopes.

miss snopes, after being voted out, you came back and managed to hang in there for three more competitions. No one else can claim that, and you should be proud of yourself. Unfortunately in Survivor, you only live... er play once, or in this case, twice.

This one's for you:

Now we move to the voting round. This is, I can honestly say the most diverse round for voting with several participants receiving their first vote yet. However, one candidate did receive more than any other. That contestant and the person going home this week is... Aknas.

Aknas, those who voted for you felt that you are much too strong of a player to go up against in the next two contests. They believe that in the coming stretch it would be suicide to leave a player like you in the running. You fought hard, you placed fifth, and you did it with your own personal style.

Aknas, this one is for you:

Stay tuned, the next challenge will be posted shortly!

CHALLENGE #10 Scripted Mystery Scramble- Now that you have the fan base, it's time to give them something to cheer about, with this week's challenge Scripted Mystery Scramble!

Your challenge is to compose the next great scripted mystery! *click* Er... ummm that is to say... the introduction to a scripted mystery! I assure you that none of the contestants have found my secret base and have threatened bodily harm should I make any more soul crushing challenges.

Your task is to write an introduction for what promises to be a great scripted mystery. Remember that your goal is to make the player want to play the mystery. This is your chance to step outside of the conventions of the traditional mystery, how are you going to do it? You may also include crime scene text, but this is entirely optional.

1. You have no word or post limit.
2. Including a crime scene is not required, but you may do so if you feel that it adds to the elements of your writing.
3. Your intro should target the largest demographic possible. How you do that is up to you.

Entrants should send their entries to the SleuthNoirSurvivor@gmail.com e-mail address by 23:59 SST on February 8, 2010.

And the big twist for this challenge and the next????

You will be judged by a panel of former contestants! Who are they? Well you'll find out soon enough.

Good luck tribe! Get out there and outwit, outplay, and outlast

*looks around at the remaining contestants*

What are the chances that the four of us end up with the biggest writing contest of the game and set against one another?

This will be a cutthroat one indeed!
