Do you have what it takes to outlast all others? Do you think you can rise above the rest and stand out as the ultimate contender? Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Survivor: Sleuthville!

10 Detectives enter, face off against each other in a different challenge every week, and the last left standing will be crowned Sleuth Noir Survivor! The winner will walk away with a one-year subscription to Sleuth Noir and bragging rights over the entire community. The rules are simple:

1. The first ten Detectives to post an entry will be entered and placed on two teams of five.

2. It's advisable to be subscribed. Some of the challenges may require travel, and if you can't participate, it's likely your team will vote you off at elimination. I won't bar anyone based on this, but it's your call.

3. The losing team at the end of each event will have to vote off one member. To do that each team member will submit a PM to me, which will remain anonymous with the name of the person he or she is voting for, and a short reason why. It can be as simple as-

Name: Heimlich VonVictor
Why: He didn't write any of the poem. It's no wonder we lost!

4. Challenges will be one week long and a winner will be announced at the end, in the event of a tie, a coin will be flipped.

5. Anyone may enter including mods, editors, or even Ben and Sunny themselves if they so choose.

6. The contest will begin when all ten detectives have entered and been placed on teams. It will conclude after nine weeks of elimination challenges.

“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage,” Anais told herself for the hundredth time that day as she brushed invisible lint from her Midnight Sky dress. “Expand your life, Anais! Take a deep breath, and face your fears.” With a wry smile, she added, “Be 'Acquainted With The Night.'”

“Mummy? Why are you talking to yourself?” Josèe asked, tugging slightly on the black starry material of the dress.

“No reason, sweetie. How do I look?” Anais patted her black studded hat, The Mexican, as she gave a twirl.

“You always look pretty! You're my mummy!” Josèe exclaimed. “But I'm bored. Can we please play while we wait for your turn to go out?”

Anais drew out her Ma Jong Set and Josèe ran her finger over the dark mahogany cases as Anais started to arrange the ivory and bamboo pieces.

After making sure her daughter was settled, Anais walked to the floor length mirror to give herself one more look, the heels of her Knee High Stiletto Boots clicking against the wood of the backstage. She gave one boot a tug, making sure the leather hugged her calves.

At last, Anais heard her name. Josèe jumped up and gave Anais a hug. “Break a leg, Mummy!” Anais nodded as she walked to the curtains that drew back to reveal her.

“And our final contestant this evening, Ms Anais Nin!” Heimlich announced and listed what she was wearing as she walked down the runway, pausing at intervals to pose before making her way back to center stage.

“Ms. Nin? What are you doing for the talent portion of the contest?” Heimlich asked as the spotlight shown hot on Anais.

“I'll be doing a sword dance with my Fangs,” she replied as she took a few steps back before drawing the deadly looking swords out of their sheaths and starting a complicated looking series of steps, light glinting off the sliver swords, dazzling audience and judges alike. Her dress twirled, her boot clicked, and she was done. With a deep curtsy, she left the stage.

It is also one of my all time favorite quotes. Anais Nin the detective and RP character is not the author Anaïs Nin, and is not meant to resemble her personality, either.))

Great Job JZ. It was fun putting my little outfit together. Yet another great challenge for this entire thing.

Would it be possible to post some judges comments and / or see breakdowns of the judging?

I can give you individual scores for each category, but I didn't ask the judges to write comments for every contestant. It appears I made a mistake in calculations and Aknas should have received 75 points rather than 74.

after I gave my initial vote for the first contestant as X/10 and was told the competition had 5 sections and I was meant to give X/10 for each I kinda ran out of commentary pretty damn quick.

Welcome Cherokee tribe to your second elimination. The votes have been tallied and once again someone has managed to get more votes than anyone else. The end is drawing near my friends. Next week two of you will leave the island forever, never to return.

This week it's only one of you. The player going home this week is... ctown28. Much like Ms Helen, your teammates did not want to go up against you. They did not want to go up against you at a later date and felt that it was in their best interests to vote you out while they still had a chance.

Unfortunately the mighty moderator and radio personality has taken his final bow. I suppose that kind of thing may fly on the radio, but when it came to modeling the goods, things didn't go as well.

C'mon everone, jsut admit it. IT was taht great outfit that I put together that got me kicked off!

I'm taking names and writing everyones down, see if any of you can ever make a post on these boards again without it being modded! ;-)

Seriously though, I had a feeling it was coming this week. Good luck to all remaining contestants. Love the exit music too Heim.

I am in the middle of moving right now and things are a bit hectic, but once we get settled in I will get a radio show planned too!
