Do you have what it takes to outlast all others? Do you think you can rise above the rest and stand out as the ultimate contender? Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Survivor: Sleuthville!

10 Detectives enter, face off against each other in a different challenge every week, and the last left standing will be crowned Sleuth Noir Survivor! The winner will walk away with a one-year subscription to Sleuth Noir and bragging rights over the entire community. The rules are simple:

1. The first ten Detectives to post an entry will be entered and placed on two teams of five.

2. It's advisable to be subscribed. Some of the challenges may require travel, and if you can't participate, it's likely your team will vote you off at elimination. I won't bar anyone based on this, but it's your call.

3. The losing team at the end of each event will have to vote off one member. To do that each team member will submit a PM to me, which will remain anonymous with the name of the person he or she is voting for, and a short reason why. It can be as simple as-

Name: Heimlich VonVictor
Why: He didn't write any of the poem. It's no wonder we lost!

4. Challenges will be one week long and a winner will be announced at the end, in the event of a tie, a coin will be flipped.

5. Anyone may enter including mods, editors, or even Ben and Sunny themselves if they so choose.

6. The contest will begin when all ten detectives have entered and been placed on teams. It will conclude after nine weeks of elimination challenges.

That's all! Get out there and outwit, outplay, and outlast!

Woohoo! Welcome back tribe members! I'm glad to see you all here. Tribes are dissolved and it is now every man and woman for themselves! Round #7, as previously announced, will be a partner challenge. Without further ado, let's meet the partners

Team #1- The Deadly Dames
Anais Nin & Ms Helen

Don't let their pleasant feminine appearance fool you. This team is made up of powerful and dedicated detectives who will stop at nothing to get what they want. These are two women I would never want on my bad side!

Team #2- The Ruthless Roleplayers
Violet Parr & Riza Hawkeye

It has often been said that the pen is mightier. If so, steer clear of these two. They could write a death scene for you so descriptive, you would leaping at your shadow for the rest of your days.

Team #3- Yesterday's Youngbloods
Joseph Zeo & miss snopes

With the lowest combined detective ages in this competition, by at least 500 days, it would seem just yesterday that these two first stepped onto the scene. What they lack in time, they make up for in experience and pure drive.

Team #4- The Destructive Directors
ctown28 & Aknas

We now come to the time with the oldest combined detective ages in this competition, by over 1,300 days. With age comes knowledge and with knowledge comes power. Woe to the detective who for a second disregards the power of that director, sitting in that large comfy chair, sipping on a snifter of brandy, waiting, waiting, waiting...

On another note congratulations to all of you who have made it this far. Congratulations Cherokee Tribe!

CHALLENGE #7- Could I Have This Dance?

This week the tribe will compete in an Arch Villain Hunt. Each tribe member has been assigned a partner and will earn points based on how well both members compete. Points will be awarded to the detectives in the order that they finish their hunt, and the two scores will be added together. Points will be awarded in the following order.

1st place- 1 point
2nd place- 2 points
3rd place- 3 points
4th place- 4 points
5th place- 5 points
6th place- 6 points
7th place- 7 points
8th place- 8 points

Much like golf, the goal is to get the least amount of points. The best score would be a 3 and the worst would of course be a 15. The team with the lowest combined score will receive immunity from elimination. In the event of a two way, or three way tie for the lowest score, all teams with that score will receive immunity. In the event that all four teams come back with the same score (9) there will be no immunity and all eight detectives will be vulnerable at elimination. This means that anywhere from zero to six detectives could be immune during this challenge!

This challenge will begin Tuesday January 5, 2010 at 00:00 SST. That is, Monday night into Tuesday turnover. Travel to Shangri-La is permitted the day before, however, beginning the hunt before the above time will result in an automatic award of eight points. The challenge will end on January 11, 2010 at 11:59 SST or when all members have finished their hunt.

Good luck teams! Get out there and outwit, outplay, and outlast!

In the event of a failed hunt, as long as the participant is within the 1 week time limit, he or she may choose to start over with a new villain. If not, the detective may take a forfeit and will at that point be awarded the highest remaining point value. i.e. The first detective to forfeit would receive eight points, the second would receive seven points. A detective who fails a hunt must immediately announce in the thread that he or she has failed and what he or she wishes to do.
