...i see where the usual post about the site....and they sometimes
complain about the lack of growth....yet they have yet to toss the permanent question to the crowd who makes the difference...there should be a sticky post for non-subscribers ( where subscribers are moderated out from posting replies ) so that non-subscribers can state what they like, what they want, why they don't subscribe, etc...this would be most helpful ( and subsrbribers should be moderated out of a reply to this post ...i have already read most of your ill-remarks...)...

I may be opening a pandora's box here, but i'm afraid i don't understand something. I am fairly new here, and i admit i am not as familiar with the ways of Sleuth as many around here. But i was under the impression that BOTH unsubscribed and subscribed players could submit anything they want to any board they want. So the only people unable to submit entries to the boards are players who have been permanently banned.

Given that, let me see if i understand your proposal. You want to have a board for banned players where they can enter whatever they like (including material that is a felony in most states and many countries) without oversight by anyone except themselves...

ARE YOU NUTS???? These players were banned for a reason and most players were glad to see them go. Nice try, next suggestion please.

luc pfeiffer, I think you totally misread Nephi's post. He never mentioned having banned players post, he said a place where unsubscribed players could post without us subbed players jumping all over them. Big difference from what you inferred.

To Margo -- Did i misread Nefi's post? As i stated, unsubs are as free to open a board as anyone else. If they wish to have only unsubs post there, great. I would not expect that it is likely to have only unsubs READ it though. But by all means, petition Admin and run with it.

As for going nuts over a post, I'd suggest that you read some of Nefi's past material. He is both presently unsubbed and formerly banned, so forgive me if i happen to have suspicions of his motives.

S'all good. Nephi is entitled to offer his suggestion. As he has always been.

I also understand that his idea is mainly born out of his own personal frustration at having many of his own personal ideas 'not enjoyed' by many members, subbed and unsubbed alike.

And, that a board where subbed members could not post would certainly decrease the amount of 'non-enjoyment' of his many and varied ideas.

However in fairness to those people responsible for said 'ill-remarks', as Nephi so politely refers to them, it should be added that most of those ill-remarks are born out of a frustration in consistently reading Nephi's attempts to flog a dead horse (pony jokes aside).

Nephi's ambition has always been to change the game into something other than what it is. So in the large part where he might quote the occasional community phrase here and there, Nephi's ideas are largely self-serving, and aimed at getting him the game HE wants to play and not the game WE all love and enjoy.

I write this last comment not to sling off at Nephi but to clarify for other players the state of play, so to speak.

I have no opinion on Nephi's current idea. Except to say that, for me, there are bigger fish to fry, and I would hope Ben and the HL Irregulars might not be spending their time producing yet another place where people can complain about what they don't like, instead of finding good, constructive and positive things to say.
