Everyone has suggestions for new things they would like to see in Sleuth. Well, this is a thread for those ideas. Just post a one or two line synopsis of your concept(s), with a small additional informational blurb if two lines is not enough to capture it. Discussions regarding specific ideas will take place in a separate thread, to keep this one running smoothly. Please do not include complaints, critiques, or other discussion on this thread, for purposes of flow. Anything that is not specifically done for the purpose of outlining an idea will be deleted.

All ideas will be considered; even if no discussion thread for them is immediately started, don't lose heart. Ready, get set, post!

I propose a "Sleuth Goggles" system for drunken sleuths. Basically, if you've been out on the town, and are "three sheets to the wind" you receive a pop-up message to the effect of:

'WARNING: You are about to accuse Hui Ying Wimberley. You seem to have had quite a lot to drink tonight. If you can answer the question below, you may continue.

The clerk in the butchers is 5ft 9 inches tall. He has 2 kids and enjoys listening to rock music. What does he weigh?'

If the question can be answered, the accusation stands. But, if the brain is too sloshed with alcohol, then the detective is spared a needless false accusation.

LMAO Adam. Love it. I coulda used that a few times. Can it apply to drunken message board posts as well?

I can back that up. I don't drink and sleuth, but I DID pick up a FA while out of my gourd with a hideously dehydrating stomach bug. Similar state of mind, that.

Y'know, I should have a free FA with all the cases I've done while outta my mind from migraines. So far, no falses. *Knocks REPEATEDLY on wood.* If I can go 23 months on a post-stroke brain, and who knows how many headaches, I'd say I deserve a freebie.

;-D ;-D ;-D

(I can hear the Sleuth God's blood pressure rising astronomically from way over here as he reads this. ;-)

Just had a case with 3 notes, 1 thread, 4 librarian alibis, 1 tailor alibi, and 2 suspects who clammed on alibi's despite a 74% and 96% chance of talking with the respective skills I used.

May I suggest a "Rip Suspect's Fingernails off with Pliers" skill?

I'd like the Mug Skill. It's just like Pickpocketing only you get the satisfaction of beating up the Client for wasting your time before you take their money.

So now that I'm calm, some actual suggestions XD

How about a title for people who collect all available skills with the exception of the obvious?

What about one for people who manage to get that rare event of equal chance of tough and charm working on a suspect or townie? I had it happen for the first time and only time the other day and thought it would make a nice random chance title.

Also, maybe the solution to the trap detection/hostage negotiation debate is to make them equally useful. For example, sometimes your ship gets pirated and you need hostage negotiation to get through. Other times the pirates set up a trap in the water to stop the ship and you need trap detection to warn the captain to steer away.

Likewise in places where trap detection is used currently, the structure could be changed to have the traps appear where they do now, but have the detective randomly run into a group of pirates that need to be negotiated with at times.

It will equal out the skills while still giving detectives a choice and a decision as to which skill is more practical.

Minor feature wanted: When it's been some time since last time I played, I sometimes want to buy myself an apartment, but get a message that I already have an apartment and cannot have more than one.

I would like that message slightly adjusted so that it will tell me WHERE the apartment I already have are located. It's not always so that I want to travel all the cities around looking for my apartment ;-)
