Everyone has suggestions for new things they would like to see in Sleuth. Well, this is a thread for those ideas. Just post a one or two line synopsis of your concept(s), with a small additional informational blurb if two lines is not enough to capture it. Discussions regarding specific ideas will take place in a separate thread, to keep this one running smoothly. Please do not include complaints, critiques, or other discussion on this thread, for purposes of flow. Anything that is not specifically done for the purpose of outlining an idea will be deleted.

All ideas will be considered; even if no discussion thread for them is immediately started, don't lose heart. Ready, get set, post!

Yes, able to buy an apartment in every city please. Places to spend our hard earned cash :-)

The rest of the suggests are all amazing. especially like Lolita's ideas (those you deemed workable)

I would like this to be implemented:
You visit the Priest, Curator, Holy Man, Stage Manager, Imam and a suitable one on Sleuthetania. Each of them is asked for a book, a sacred book or a holy book, or just book. - which you will recieve after having done something special for that person, like doing a favor, or giving an item.
When you have collected all the 6 books, you may go to Shangri La, and visit a specially selected poet there, asking perhaps the same question.
I don't want the questions you need to ask to be difficult to guess.
The Shangri La poet will then give you the option of learning a special skill, that will make it possible to review information about a case that have already been given. I.e. review the intro, the twist (when it's been revealed), and if solving this case will open a favor. (not which favor)
I suggest the skill cost between 15-20 skill points. - and yes, it will be a skill for especially interested, but, as far as I have seen the way this game is built, it should be fairly easy to implement. ;-) So, please?

I would like flower shops and chocolate or other shops for nice gifts to open in Sleuthville, and the ability to buy some nice treats there to give to townies, slightly increasing the possibility to make them in need of a favor from me for a limited time. - but, if I overdo it, the possibility will decrease drastically. Perhaps different treats have different positive gain by the different townies? i.e. the Silk Merchant perhaps is especially in favor of flowers, but does not like a good sigar? While the Imam does not really care about flowers, but think a good sigar will be great? ;-)

If I somehow could earn the skill of knowing how many cases left to solve to get the next favor, it would be great when doing treasure hunts.

Would it be possible to earn one or two unspecified skills?
- listed as "secret skill 1" and "secret skill 2" on your detective page?
- where the usage of the skills will be revealed later on?

I would like to be able to find/earn (though with difficulties) a special equipment that can be used (with the insertion of a battery, which also is not too easily availiable) to set up a communication line with one of my agency members, who is outside of our agency home office. During this communication I will be allowed to assist my agency member with the case he or she is currently playing. The way I can assist is by either having one of my contacts answer 2-5 questions (which must be specified beforehand by the player I am talking with), or to be able to analyze one of the evidences that's been found. "Unfortunately" the battery I insert into the equipment only last for one communication/one case.
- and, even if it will make that case slightly more solveable, the hardness of gaining batteries will probably make up for the help they give - not altering the game too much.
Perhaps your agency will start winning one or two batteries for each treasure they find? One battery for single city hunts, and two batteries for multi city hunts?
Another gain with this kind of skill are that both of the agency members need to be online at the same time, thus enhancing cooperation ;-)

There have been so many replies to this thread that similar ideas have been condensed.

1) Apartments in another City/All Cities - Having apartments in other cities would provide too much help in cases played away from a detective's home cities.
2) AVHs/THs & Factions in Cairo - This is being considered.
3) Store items in apartments when completing case/favor/Prince's palace - This change is being considered for the case of completing AI cases and favors, but detectives would still need to travel to Shangri-la with equipment space to spare for collecting an item.
4) Checkboxes for Apartment Lockers - This is being considered.
5) Check contact PE without asking about everyone - This is being considered.
6) Sleuthetania style mini-city for Delhi-London - This is something that would be considered once the Sleuthetania has more content.
7) New Cities - As with #6, this would be considered at a later date.
8) Allow people to take from your apartment - Apartments are meant to be a private area, which is why people have not been able to remove things in the past.
9) Rewards for completing many VHs - This is being considered.
10) Super Villain Hunts - This is being considered.
11) One-use item purchased with skill points for bribery - This is not required, as most people with excess skill points do not have many problems needing to bribe anyone.
12) Responding to 2 from first post, reduce traps to even out 2 skills - ideas for evening out the two skills are being considered.
13) Shades Mass Messaging System - This is being considered.
14) Spend skill points on favors - This would skew Treasure Hunts too much.
15) Reasons to become faction representative - There is a reason to become a faction representative, you just need to find out what they are.

16) THs on the ship - Because of the nature of THs (the hunt for the right favor) and the nature of the ship (booted off when the ship makes port), it would be a more difficult TH than most (not to mention, incredibly expensive). However, if a round-trip ticket or longer voyage is implemented, shipboard hunts might be a viable option.
17) Skill to determine who evidence belongs to - This would make cases easier than they should be.
18) Game info page - There is a Game Info page already available. If you are unable to see it, there may be a reason why.

I don't know if this is possible, but it has always seemed incongruous to me that a townie who you are doing a favour for can clam up during the case. It would make a lot more sense if the townie acted like a contact for that particular case and give you all the help you need!
