I was hoping to eliminate one suspect by either getting witness evidence or, as you said, if everyone else but one said they didn't suspect her it would have been worth the risk.
Anyway, I assume it is statistically inevitable that every now and then you get cases like this. As a matter of fact it would be extremely boring if you always managed to find your culprit ;]

Some cases are truly impossible. Today, I had a case where my only lead, other than my client, clammed up, forcing me to find more. After that, I had three more people clam on me before alibis. To top it off, I had three hairs and an unidentified thread... when I have the note person in London. Finally, I managed to find all but one suspect... who I later found out was the murderer.
So, yep, some cases are just too danged hard! lol
