Pirates!

I keep trying to find the thread where Ben wrote about the changes he made to the pirating system but it seems to be gone. Can anyone give me a recap? I seem to recall something about not being pirated twice in one day, but maybe that's a hallucinated memory.

Basically, he said that it would be very DIFFICULT (but not impossible) to be pirated more than once in a day. I believe he also said that the pirates would no longer take your cash, only your cases. They would, however, send you back to your point of departure, so you will have to try to travel again if you do have the misfortune of being pirated. I'm not sure if there were more modifications or not, and what the actual post was that announced all this, but I do think that's about the major gist of it. Anyone remember anything else??

Many feel the Oomph has been taken out of Hostage Negotiation because of these modifications. There are quite a few who would like to be able to either be able to have both skills (Hostage Negotiation and Trap Detection), or be able to go back and switch skills from what they currently have. So far, no word from Above on that. ;-)

Hope that answers your question.

Thanks Breit! It's interesting that my two detectives that don't have hostage negotiation frequently get pirated twice in the same day. (At least 5 times in the past 3 weeks). I wonder what the actual probability of that happening is. Because it sounded like the frequency of that happening should be a lot less.

I was but apparently Ben said that he posted the changes to the Game Announcement Board and it was no longer there.
