ANZAC Day

I feel proud and patriotic today. My Mr 14 got up at 4.30am and dressed in full uniform to attend the dawn service at the next town over and then came back to march in the parade in our town. I am so proud of him. He did his cadet unit proud and I am so pleased that both of my boys show an interest and respect our ancestors who fought and died for us.

I cried as the Last Post was sounded. It is overwhelming that so many young men and women, and loads of them not much older than my boy, gave their lives to defend our freedoms. I am grateful and humbled by their sacrifice.

And to all those men and women in active theatres today. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. From the heart of a mother I am so grateful that you are trying to defend our way of life and protect us from those who take our freedoms from us. May you be blessed and come home safe to those who love you.
