Hair does not grow after death; the appearance of growth is actually caused by the retraction of skin as the surrounding tissue dehydrates, making nails and hair more prominent. (Just in case anyone comes upon it when writing a FM or doing a RP)

If you wash sand fly eggs in 1% bleach, it kills the mites, but not the sand flies! And, it is fun to do! :D
