It was a cold,November night. I was strolling my way towards my apartment,when suddenly,a car rushed by. I didn't pay attention to it,how foolish of me. I wanted to get a glass of scotch and lay in my bed,just relaxing. But little did I know,for what happened.

The car that rushed by was a car with a hitman in it,with a tommygun. ''Oh,Mr Vulkie3.'',a lady said with a sweet voice. ''Yeah,wha....'' I couldn't finish the sentence. I noticed the gun and it was too late.

The lady in the car fired the tommygun empty on me,and left after they saw me fall down. I was still alive,breathing heavily. I crawled towards my neighbour's house,and I could only rang the doorbell.

I didn't made it to see if the neighbour opened the door,because I passed out...

After solving this case,I knew what the next day happened after I got shot. The front page was full of it,with screaming title of : ''Local Sleuth shot down;believed to be victim of gang war.''

I really hoped some of my friends would find me and help me solve this case,I thought,before I passed out...

Lolita was right. We could not confront the DAB in the open. I inhaled my cigarette deeply, a habit I took up whist I was away in London. The trip helped me to ease the pain of losing Lisette, who was now dead for three months, but I never forget the DAB, who had gunned her down. They will not take down another one of us, I promised.

"I got out from the neighbour that it was a drive by shooting. So there must be a driver and a shooter involved." I induced. "The Brotherhood were usually gentle, at least on the surface, but I need hear about a new recruit, a vicious lady who loves her Tommy, the gun, that is."

"Yes, I also heard that she was die hard loyal and totally not approachable." Lolita said.

"Hm, that leaves us with the driver. I know a few who works for the DAB, and i know they usually hang by the dock." I stubbed out my cigarette, "Let's go."

I woke up,in the hospital. I screamed and the nurse came directly towards me,calming me down. ''Calm down miss,you're in the hospital. Everything's fine.'' I stopped screaming,and looked around. Next to me lay a man,staring directly towards me. I apologised for the inconvenience. My stomach hurted and I asked the nurse how bad I was hurt. The nurse waited for a time,and then she said something terrible.... I couldn't have any childs anymore. My womb was damaged by a bullet and unrepairable. I wanted to scream again. I wouldn't hear my own child saying ''mommy'' or ''hi mom,I'm back.''

Anais came along with a friend of hers and some flowers. We hugged for a moment. When I looked closely at her,I cried. I just cried,for all what we've been through,but this was too much for me to hold back. Anais told her friend to wait outside and told me Joseph and Lolita had a trail to the docks. I hoped Joseph was alright. I told Anais what the nurse told me. She hugged me and I knew what she thought.

''Vulkie3,stay strong. We're gonna get those bastards who did this to you.'' Anais said. ''I know sweetie,I know. I just don't know why it had to be me. Why me?'' I told Anais I was tired and she knew that I needed some time to get over this. I layed on me left side,looking towards the man next to me. I knew Anais was looking at me,and that she cried.

I just hoped Joseph would be alright. ''Anais'' I said. ''Yes?'' Anais replied. ''Would you inform Ace about me and let him know where I'm now?'' ''Why?'' Anais asked. ''Just do it Anais,just do it'' I said. And Anais left the hospital....

(Btw people,don't get confused. In RL,I'm male,but here on Noir a woman. I can forget it sometimes,so don't be angered with it ^^)

((ROFL, I had the same question and PM-ed Vulkie about it. It was soooo confusing that I just left him/her to sort it out him/herself, and hence there's no male/female reference of Vulkie in my last post up there. I'm so glad this is now confirmed, that he's playing female character as well for this story. Good, now Vulkie, ACT LIKE A LADY!!!!!! <also ducking as Vulkie3 threw the bed at me> Now, back to the dock...))

The beautiful Lolita and I drove to the dock and I turned off the headlights. I saw a few thugs hanging here and there, smoking, gambling, cursing. This was no place for a pretty girl so I asked Lolita to stay in the car for her own safety.

I walked toward the pier, few unfriendly faces turned in my direction. I recognized the unshaven brute who sometimes worked as a courier for the Brotherhood. I walked over and mingled, offering him a smoke.

“Heard about any big jobs lately?” I exhaled, a whiff and smoke exited my nostril.
The guy just laughed, I noticed he had a few tooth missing. “Lots o’ guts you’ve got, ser, walking out ‘ere pokin’ you nose in places you don’t belong!” He continued to smoke that cigarette but began to chat with his other friends, ignoring my presence.

I threw my cigarette butt into the water and lifted the guy up. He was surprised at my strength. “Look here, my friend is in the hospital half dead, and I’m in no mood to play games! Tell me what you know about this new killer lady, so you’ll be dinner for the fishes.”

I knew Vulkie’s incident had clouded my judgment, and I was roughing out the wrong crowd. Before I could think twice, I felt a sharp cold pain on my left shoulder blade. Immediately I turned around and saw a young lad holding a bloody trench knife in his hand. My blood.

Watching from the car I saw Joseph get stabbed. Not even stopping to think, I grabbed the pistol from the glove compartment and jumped out of the car. Racing over to where Joseph was I pointed the gun at the man with the knife.

"Never bring a knife to a gunfight!" I told him through gritted teeth.

He laughed at me.

"And if you bring a gun you better be prepared to use it" I heard a womans' voice behind me. Spinning around I saw a beautiful blonde woman holding a Tommy Gun pointed directly at me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the dockmen moving away. "So tell me was he worth your life?" she said to me as she pulled the trigger.

(Lolita is dead. Her funeral was beautiful. Everybody cried and then went and had a drink at the Tricky Mister for the memorial wake.)

"Loleeeeta!" I yelled. The beautiful girl fell down, her lifeless eyes stared at me, vacant. This cannot be true!

The brute I was talking to took the opportunity and pulled an empty sand bag over my head. Someone pushed me down onto the ground, then kicks and blows rained down on me from all directions.

I heard the blonde woman laughing hysterically. “And what have we got here, Viktor?” The sound of high heal approached. I could hardly move a muscle from the pain.

“He mentioned about a friend who is in the hospital, half dead.” The brute replied.

“Must be Vulkie he was talking about. Well, well, I shall go finish her off then. This time I’ll do my own driving, why don’t you stay put and graciously ‘thank’ our friend for his information.” A high heal drove into my chest and then walked away.

"Feed th' fishes eh? That sounds lika good idea!" Viktor said. I felt my body being kicked and rolled towards the water. This couldn't be happening. I tried to grab hold of something, anything. I held onto a dock post, a boot smashed my fingers, I heard bones crushing. I grunted, not willing to let these bastards to hear me yell. With a final kick, my body crashed into the water and began to sink.

Ace came by,as I asked Anais to fetch him for me. He grabbed a chair,and sat next to me. ''Just lay here Vulkie3,you're gonna be alright. I'm here.'' Ace said. I turned my face,and saw Ace,almost crying to see me with all those tubes in my body. ''Ace,I... I can't have children anymore. I wanted children so badly,good god.'' I said to Ace. Ace just comforted me,and keep saying everything will be fine. Just as Ace stand up,a nurse came by (don't you love kill bill,watch the first one,Elle Driver in nurse outfit ^^). I looked at the nurse and my heart meter went beserk. It was the lady who tried to kill me. ''Well well Vulkie'' the lady said, ''glad to meet you'' Ace his face turned angered. ''Who are you and what do you want from her?'' Ace asked angered,almost screaming. The man next to me was taking a nap,but woke up from all the noise. ''What the hell darnation is going on..'' The lady shot him and he fell dead,the heart meter giving no sound anymore,as she shot the meter too. ''You got yourself too deep into our business and we have to ''settle'' something,don't we Vulkie?'' I thought deep and a flash back came from a few days before my shooting.

I was at the church,and talking to my own brother,Leonard. He was a priest there. Unfortunately,we got separated,because Father Manfred just came around the corner and I had to flee from the DAB,still angered about the statuette of Bha Zhing Ze (Read Golden for more info about the statuette). I was woken up from the flashback...

Ace drew his gun quickly and shot the lady in her leg. The lady fired her tommy at Ace and Ace got hit in his arm,badly. The lady fled the building,screaming : ''I will get you,the DAB always takes care of unfinished business!''. The doctor rushed towards us,taking Ace to the first aid room. I was almost going in a shock of all this.

Just then,I saw a person,wet and soapy,in a hospital bed coming along. A nurse quickly drove the patient to my right side,where there was still some space left. I couldn't believe it,when I looked at the person. It was Joseph.....
