Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

I glanced up at the large clock again. Each tick and each tock drove my mind farther back into the past. A past I had left behind ten long years before. A past I was facing now.

But first came the waiting. I hate waiting.

I glanced around the station again. Deserted. Not a soul in sight. Strange, considering that this used to be a bustling train station ten years ago. I pulled the letter out of my shoulder bag to look at it again.

"Anais, Be at Winchester Station, Platform 7 at 23.00, 2/15. ~Lisette"

Lisette. Could I really face her after all this time? Well, I was about to find out. With a shaking hand, I shoved the letter deep into my bag. Where was she? It was 23.17. Lisette had never been late in the twenty plus years I had known her. What was going on?

That strange figure the nun was holding, it looked exactly like what Anais described. The two parts clicked together and for a split second the statue glowed. The nun smiled to herself, then she turned her head and looked at us with questioning eyes. I pressed my luck. "Hm, Sister Margaretta?" I said in a high pitched voice, deciding to rid Lisette for good after this was all done. "Hm, Father Manfred is asking for you in the office." I remember what Ace told us when we met them at the hallway.

"I supposed you girls are new to the convent?" The nun questioned. We nodded. "Remember your manners." We curtsied, and noticed the children all had their heads drooped like zombies.

"Um, Sister, what is happening to the children?" Anais asked.

"I'm just doing a meditation excise with them. Two of you stay and look after them." Margaretta left the room with the figure in her hands. Anais genuinely cared about the children and stayed. Lisette grabbed my robe and pulled me into following the nun down the corridor. Th lady could walk quite fast for her age.

"Now that we're away from the children, let's drop all pretenses." Lisette barked. The nun stopped on her track, exhaled, and turned around. "This belongs to my family." Lisette reached for the statue. With a simple flick of her wrist, the nun pointed the chicken head at Lisette. There was no beam, no sound, nothing. Lisette simply dropped. I ran over to her. Something was wrong. She wasn't breathing. I checked her pulse. Nothing.

Lisette was dead.

What? This can't be true? I looked at my girl friend of two years sleeping on the floor like an angel, only that she would never wake up again. I wanted to take back every thought about wanting to dump her. I simply fell on my knees beside her, embracing her lifeless body.

"So, I guess Father Manfred wasn't looking for me." Margaretta said to me, Ace and Vulkie who were in the hallway. "Well, I don't need him anymore, and I supposed you have taken care of him for me. Now, I think I don't need to explain the consequence of following me." The nun turned around and disappeared down the stairs.

I stayed beside Lisette, oblivious to everything else.

Anais and I were in the classroom with the children. Anais was walking up and down checking their pulses and breathing. It appeared that they were all still alive but were in some kind of trance or something. What had Sister Margaretta done to these innocent children? What had she been planning?

Suddenly I heard a dull thud outside the door and and Joseph screamed Lisette's name. I ran to the doorway and there at the top of the stairs was Joseph and Lisette on the floor. I ran to them and saw a dark shape running down the stairs. I reached down and felt Lisette's pulse. She wasn't dead! There was a faint pulse. Sister Margaretta hadn't got a chance to finish her chant.

I took off down the stairs after the nun with the power of the gods in her hands....................

Lisette wasn't dead? Yes, the faint pulse was there. I tried to wake her up, but she was in such a deep sleep. Would she ever wake up? I needed that statue from the sister, maybe that can wake her.

Lolita ran after the nun, but then I heard someone rolling down the stairs. I took off my disguise, yelled to Anais to look after her sister, then with Vulkie and Ace we proceeded downstairs carefully with our guns drawn. Lolita was lying at the edge of the stairwell, unconscious. We checked her pulse. She's still alive, much like Lisette. We heard the vault door locking closed.

The blast proof vault door cannot be opened from the outside, except using the lock combination that only Father Manfred knew about. Ace said he'll get the combination, with a smirk he ran off. I stayed with by the vault door. Suddenly, I heard a man screaming. That sounded like... Fredo... but that's impossible...

''AAH,I"m burning!!'' I heard through the vault door. Definitely Fredo, revived by the crazy nun. But that's impossible, unless the statue also revives badly burned bodies. Well, now we know.

Ace came back with the combination and Joseph tried it. ''6 right,24 left,45 right, that should do it''. Before we went in,we loaded our guns.

I opened the door. The nun scared of us,but stayed with Fredo. She dropped the statue. ''Sister,it is over. Give us the statue,or you and Fredo will live forever, dead.'' I said. ''I'm ready for death, are you,madame...?''

''Vulkie3 is my name,sister...?'' ''My name is Margaretta Sicily,I'm Fredo's only sister and family member left.''

''We didn't knew why Fredo still came back to us.'' I looked at Fredo and he just stared in blankness. Probably, the chant didn't finish too well,so Fredo was left in a state between life and death.

The nun tried to fetch the statue, but I shot her. The nun dropped on the floor, dead. Ace picked the statue up. But we needed to fix the chant first.

So we searched Sister Margeretta's desk and finished the chant. After that,we revived Lisette and Lolita and killed Fredo (For the final time). After that,I destroyed the statue, throwing it in the furnace.

''Well,we don't have the power for ourselves to make a choice between life and death. We just have to wait.''

And after these words,we all went away from the church,in the shining sun, waiting for another story...

''2 days later''

''Joseph, cuty, you want a nice drink?'' Lisette asked. Joseph grunted, which usually meant yes. I stayed with Ace,standing alongside everyone since there were no more bar seats. Ace looked a bit gloomy and I gave him a suckerpunch, waking him up from his dream. ''What's that good for doll?'' Ace answered, angered, and meanwhile rubbing his arm.

''You just dazed off,so I woke you up sweety.'' I said. I smiled towards Joseph, and he smiled against me. Well, there was still some time for romance though.

Suddenly, the door burst open, with Father Manfred in the door opening and 2 DAB members with tommyguns. ''Well,so here is the lovely reunion.''

''Boys, kill them.'' I jumped with Ace behind the bar. Joseph soon joined and Lolita and Anais too. They shot the whole bar to pieces. ''Don't shoot the malt whiskey, please.'' Joseph screamed. Typical Joseph xD. Reacting in such a situation.

When they left,we checked the bar. There on the floor...

Joseph's face ran with tears and he knelt, holding her in his lap. Lisette was dead, gunned down by those bastards as a revenge and reminder to not mess with the DAB.

''I swear to you,I will get Father Manfred,if I'm lucky.'' ,Joseph hissed.

I comforted Joseph and Anais was comforted by Ace. We knew how Anais thought of Lisette, but still, she was her sister.

From that day on,we were out for revenge on the DAB....

(ps : We put a date of 1999 in the story, with the paper story of Anais's dad. This can't be possible, because it's supposed to be in the late 20's/begin 30's. Again, apologies.)
