How do I save a case?

Good question to ask in your agency!

But I'll tell you anyway. You can't save a favor, and there is a maximum number of cases you can save in your agency.

You go to the Agency HQ, go to "case files," and there you should see information about filing your case plus the heading "File your case," under which should be a largish white box above the list of all the other cases stored.

There's a box to click to make it stored privately, so that you are the only one who can open it. The big white box is for notes to yourself or to others in your agency. Leaving the case open will allow others to help you solve the case.

Once you have decided whether to make it a private case or not and what notes to write, you click on the "Store" button.

That's about it.

Why can't we save favors and featured mysteries? If I need to go but am in the middle of a mystery, I'd like to be able to file it and come back later when I have time. real life getting in the way of sleuthing. ;-)

You can't save them in case files, but if you leave (even log off) with them in process, they should be there when you get back!

Ben let folks try saving favors a while back. They got stockpiled and then agencies were finishing hunts in like 5 minutes. The hunts became zero fun, so the favor saving got scrapped quick.

Don't know about featured mysteries but guessing and quitting don't carry any significant penalty.

i guess the reason u cant save fetured mysteries is cause u r alowd to do them over and over again.

I think Dogberta has it straight. I don't see why Ben doesn't make it so that we can store a favor, but not open a new one until that favor is done.
