I agree...crunchpatty this is a child you are talking too..it didnt take a genius to figure that out when he said his father subscribed for him...

I also spoke with him when he needed some information about joining an agency so Siren you can thank me for this new recruit..

Ok we all need to remember how crunch is. NEVER ever take him seriously. He's always making jokes and stuff.

But on another note, congrats to Goldluck on finding a home. Sirens is a wonderful agency with great people.

I hate doing this but it could cause a conflict between directors of an agency when a detective jumps from one agency to another...Golduck was here, made 3 WA and was removed from the agency...Now at Siren and sending me messages to join BOOTS again...remember if you are already in an agency...dont request to join another unless you have resigned...this makes it look like the agency is attempting to recruit active detectives from another agency..THAT'S A NO NO...

Agency jumping is NOT looked upon favorably around here, Golduck. You've had positions at a couple of highly respected firms in a matter of weeks. What, exactly, seems to be the problem? If there is one, you need (ie--MUST) communicate (ie--TALK) with your Directors. They're not unfeeling monsters. I would think they'd be willing to help you with most any problem you've got, as long as you're 1. polite when you deal with them, 2. consistently helping out the rest of your Agency colleagues, and 3. generally being a positive influence/asset to the Agency. If you're not doing one/all of those three, you might want to change your behaviour--fast.

There's a perception around Sleuth, especially among Unsubbeds, that job offers fall off trees around here. They don't. When you're hired by an Agency, the Agency is taking a humongous risk in hiring you, a completely unknown person to them. And when you go and jump from one group to another (and possibly another and another), that perception that you're a risk is basically confirmed. Agencies DON'T like hiring people who are risks. And believe it or not, word does get around.

So, what's the moral to this story? Sirens has taken a BIG risk on their part in hiring you. How bout trying to show them you're worth it?

By the way, I was just curious if we could join more than one agency okay. And Botsie, Sirens just kicked me out for the exact reason that Breit just mentioned. Think I can join again? Whatever you are thinking at the moment, I will not do that ever/again. And by the way I'm 16.

Plus I'm revamping my agency recruitment...thing. I want to join an agency who won't fuss or yell at me over every little thing that I do (I would even get yelled at by my parents over my homework, and believe me, you would not want to meet my dad), they need to let me go where ever I want. Just ask me questions (like from a personality quiz you'd find in the back of those fashion magazines), about the kind of agency I'd like to join. And the agency itself needs to be rich. I'm kind of auctioning myself up to the highest bidding agency. I'm a little in-experienced and if I'm doing one of those random mysteries, I may wind up in a sticky situation where I have 2 false accusations on my record and I need like a rediculous (I forget how to spell it) amount of money to get rid of them. Plus I'd kind of like to go to different locations (hence the "they need to let me go where ever I want" part of this post) so once in a while I may ask for money to go to the different locations.

This is all I have to say.

Wow.. are you sure that is all you need Golduck?? A rich agency who will cater to your every whim. An agency who will coddle you and make all those bad FAs go away by paying a "rediculous amount of money to get rid of them" and pay all your travelling expenses?

What do you offer in return? Friendship? Loyalty? Dependability? Do you know what these words mean?? I think you have a lot of growing up to do!!!

Reply to turtledove: No you doof. At least rich enough to let me borrow some of the money to travel and, lets say, $942 to get rid of a false accusation.

And I forgot to mention what I'd offer in return. Yeah.

In return, I'll help with different treasure hunts, (if need be) I'll put half of my total money into the safe, and (I'm not sure how to do this) help with the different arch villian hunts.

As a former Director, and just being in agencies, the Director isn't obligated to GIVE you money to travel, etc. Yes, most Directors are generous, and DO help their agents in that way, but not all the time, and they definitely dont HAVE to do that. What makes you think that you should be catered to like that?

Do you think things should be handed to you on a silver platter? How about doing some hard work for yourself. Save your OWN money to travel. If you dont have it now, well, gee, guess what?? You just dont travel right now, until you do have the money.

I can only remember giving money to my agents when I first recruited them, and they needed to travel from another city to get to main headquarters but I didnt give them money for their other travels. They were smart enough to do it on their own. That is one of the fun things about it....doing things on our own.

When you go into an agency Golduck, dont go in EXPECTING. That is very rude, and disrespectful.

You say you will help with treasure hunts,etc....well, as a member of that agency, you SHOULD do all you can to help support the home you are in and helping to make it the best agency out there. That is a given. If you take good care of that, and are a hard working, honest detective....chances are, the Director will take care of YOU too. ((also remember, when you make false accusations, dont think of the agency as a BANK. Directors usually do help u with that once or, if more lenient, maybe twice...but, not every single time. That would break an agency in a hurry)))

There is nothing worse than someone always standing there with their hand out expecting something.

Good luck in finding an agency....

(One or two small follow-ups, Golduck....)

If you do happen to guess wrong on a Featured/Scripted Mystery, it DOES NOT count as a False Accusation. You can do these mysteries til the cows come home, and they do not count against your record. The same CANNOT BE SAID for the regular 12 mysteries you get to process every day. This is why you will hear all over Sleuth that it is a very dangerous thing to guess on your cases. False Accusations DO count on your record for Daily Mysteries, and the payoff fees add up quickly. Very, very quickly.

Secondly, $942 is chump change to an Agency (or to a Detective, for that matter) to pay off a False Accusation record. That can be done in three easy cases and one intermediate favor, with $500+ left to spare. Most any Agency here would be happy to hand over that to clear your record. The problem comes if and when the situation keeps happening. (See above paragraph.) You see, falses don't stay at one price. Every time you get a false, the price goes up. And every time you solve a case, the price on your head THEN goes up even more. So while your bill this time may be $942, in a week (for example), when you rack up two more falses, the price on your head is now in the range of $5000. And this is where Directors get a bit reluctant to open up the cookie jar, so to speak. Again, $5000 is chump change for an Agency, relatively speaking. That's one Inc. hard favor (which most Directors can do in their sleep). However, soon, their little angelic Rookie is racking up False bills of $50-$100,000 and beyond. And that, Golduck, is serious money in anybody's book.

So, once again, what's the moral to this whole story?? I'm going to suggest you do some working on your own, and see how you do. Work your darnedest, and see how long you can go without racking up a single false. Make a game with yourself to see just how many quits you can rack up because you have the choice of quitting or guessing.
