Option to buy an Aparment while Unsub

I have enough money to buy an apartment now, and the option is available, but I am afraid to click on it because I have heard that we won't be able to buy furniture for it any ways.
Is that true? Does anybody know? I am not subscribed with this particular detective because it is my back up in case of retirement for my subscribed one.

I don't think it will even let you buy it. I think if you click on it, it will say that you must be subscribed to buy an apartment.

I think Heimlich is right but if it lets you buy it you can furnish it
