Negative Skill Points

I just logged in today and to my horror i discovered that i no longer had any contacts or any skill points!
And even more to my horror i discovered that i had NEGATIVE skill points. -2 to be exact.
Can anyone tell me why this is? I have never seen this happen before. I'm much more interested in the skill points than the contacts, but of course i am curious about both.

I believe you had been retired and reactivated. That's how you get negative skill points AND no contacts.
