As I mentioned on Ctown's last radio broadcast, I thought it might be fun to put together an authentic 'radio play' like they used to do on the radio back in the 20's and 30's. We'd like to do this probably sometime in December, around Christmastime, if we can get it done in time. We're looking for ideas for a script, volunteers for acting (voice only), and help with sound effects and audio descriptions.

We're hoping to have a fun time with this, so good luck, and thank you!! Let's see what y'all can come up with!! ;-D

(For those who have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, here's a couple of pages that provide some info and names of famous radioplays from days gone by. ;-)

LOL SS.

Great idea Breit. That will be fun. Unfortunately I've lost my muse and am not feeling very creative at the moment.

Let me know if I can help with anything that does not require the use of brain cells.

Now that sounds right up my alley.

Just let me know the requirements of this coffee table role, and I'm all over it :P

hehehe as soon as I saw this thread the first thing that popped into my head was 'The Archers'. I'm guessing most of you will never have heard of it (except the brits of course) :D Anyway The Archers is a long running radio soap opera that is still on the go today and is quite popular, though probably not with the younger generation so to speak (never listened to an episode in my life lol) So my point to this was I know it's a different genre but maybe you can grasp some ideas from their website www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/archers/

Oh yeah and I'll help out in anyway I can too. Maybe I could be the lamp to go with Nic's coffee table :D

Might I suggest for a script, "The Dying Detective" a Sherlock Holmes play.

There aren't too many parts, and the play itself takes place in one room, so it shouldn't be too hard to adapt to radio.
