What are you supposed to do if the Client is the murderer? I can't accuse him.

You can accuse the client, just be sure to do what Greyling said, check with every other suspect and ask them if they know anyone who has a motive for killing the person. After they say that the client's motive is whatever it is, you can accuse the client. (A note: when the client is guilty, you'll still get the experience and skill points, but no cash reward. So if your clients alibi is false, be careful about bribing witnesses since you might not be getting paid).

i still find it strange that the client would come to you if he/she knows they are the murderer

it's like they want you to find them

No, they just underestimate your detectiving. They're hoping you'll accuse the wrong person.

I had two people tell me that he had done it and I had a hair sample that matched his but there was no option on his character screen to accuse him. It wouldn't let me.

In order to accuse someone, you need to know their. You need to ask around the other suspects to find out that person's motive. After that, you will be able to accuse.

I found a little workaround for this - maybe this counts as a bug?

Anyway, what I did was copy the link for accusing another suspect (/id=25642 and everything before that, or whatever) but get the client's id number and put that in the URL instead. Basically, you can manually make your own link to accuse the victim.

actually i take that back, i thought u meant using a link to accuse every suspect without falsely accusing someone, sorry my fault, didn't think properly...

yesh, definitely cheating. :) in general there are a lot of URL manipulations you can do, but Sleuth Admin's been really good at stopping all those. (e..g, lock picking everyone!)
