You know how there are a lot of retired and inactive detective names? And also ones that people create for fun but never use? Well, I think it would be a good idea to maybe delete these names from the register and open them up to new players. I know that a lot more people would sign on if they got to have the name that they wanted, instead of their second, third, or fourth choice. It seems like a waste that people would be turned away by something so trivial, but that's just what I think. I mean, would it even be possible to do this? It was just a thought. What do you guys think?

well you did say I could breit :D and I have such an itchy trigger finger at the moment. eh regardless of how much we find someone a PITA, regardless of who that someone is, I think if we just stick to the topic, that will make life much easier all round.

likewise I'll restate what I have told thomas a fair few times over the years, if you put an idea out there you have to expect that some people are going to disagree. some of your ideas have been good, and some, well, they suck :D

VIOLET: Madness! It's tomato soup! It's hot and creamy. I can actually feel it running down my throat! It's delicious!

WONKA: Stop, don't . . .

CHARLIE: Why doesn't she listen to Mr. Wonka?

GRANDPA JOE: Because, Charlie, she's a nitwit.

Shame Lorraine's comment was deleted as now nobody will know how it was used in the sentence. Was Lorraine talking about glue? Was he calling Brasco sticky? erudite? hhmmm, maybe he meant hermaphrodite. One will never know.

Can we be sure it wasn't library paste? Sophie, maybe you should taste some. :D I've heard it's a delicacy in some places.

Maybe that would be a great way to get people to sub! A new accessory, called Library Paste, that you could eat. You go to the library in London, make a bet with the librarian, eat some paste, and have a 30% chance of having your lips stick together!

Ani, I actually worked in a library at one time repairing books. I worked in "technical services." I used glue.......or some type of rubber cement, I honestly don't remember which. Never ate any though and it didn't smell like anything. I do remember a small brown bottle of amyl nitrate...someone told me it was air freshener. It really had no smell but ...WOW it made for a fun 15 minutes. I'm older and wiser now...hey...anyone seen Shady lately?

;-)
