Made ya look!! ;-P

No, seriously, we're looking for pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. Here's what we need:

Reward items:

We're looking for things that can be used as new reward items. If you've got a picture (or can take a picture of) a hat, some kind of coat, shoes, or accessory (anything from jewelry to a pet to a car to whatever), send it.

Apartment items:

We're looking for things that can be used in apartments. Furniture, glassware, silverware, paintings, knick-knacks, tapestries or rugs, appliances, if you've got it on digital film, we wanna see it!

Landscapes:

We're looking for shots of the six cities of Sleuth, the more detailed the better. Remember, Sleuth is based on the time period of the 1920's-1940's, so your pictures need to reflect that, please.

The Rules:

All pictures MUST be sent to the following address:

wishonastaragency@gmail.com

No exceptions. Don't bother sending paper photos, they won't arrive anywhere.

All photos MUST be your personal property, or have your personal permission to use. DO NOT send copyrighted photos. No photos will be returned to their senders. No guarantees are made that any specific photo will be used.

All photos must depict items that are from the Sleuth era (1920's-1940's) or earlier. Do not send pictures depicting items from a later era, please. DO NOT SEND AVATAR PHOTOS. Photos can be submitted by Subbed or Unsubbed people, doesn't matter. We give no guarantees that your pictures will be used, simply that they'll be considered.

So get creative, and get snapping!! ;-D

Don't pictures lose their copyright after so many years, so even if they come from the web they are able to be used? Like you can't "copy" an Olan Mills picture for 50 years. Olan Mills is a photography studio in the area I live.

Please let me know if anyone has the answer so I can start searching!

They prob'ly do, Stormy, but I'm not a copyright lawyer, and more importantly, I don't have the energy to go tracking down gabillions of copyrights. So, simply put, if we think the picture isn't something that YOU yourself took, we'll deep-six it (no matter how much we like the pic). We don't want Sleuth to be the target of a lawsuit, pure and simple.

We're still looking for pictures, by the way. As I said on Ctown's radio broadcast, we've had a total of ONE contribution. C'mon people, we can do better than that!! Get yer thinking caps on, get out yer cameras, and start snapping!! ;-)

As for what kind of stuff to take pics of, the sky's the limit:

We need furniture and apartment stuff of all kinds. Ever wonder why you can furnish a bedroom here in Sleuth, but there's no beds?? (that one always stumped me ;-) Ever wonder why there's no kitchens in any of the apartments (for me, the kitchen's pretty much the center of any house I've been in). Ever wonder why there's only three styles/kinds of furniture to choose from, the el cheapo, the middle of the road, and the oh-my-god, break the bank, expensive stuff?? There's no Asian styles, no Arts and Crafts, no Art Deco, no Indian? THESE are all stuff that YOU GUYS can provide. Go look through your house, your parents', and even your grandparents' houses. You just might be surprised at what you find.

Secondly, we're looking for favor reward stuff. Y'know the hats, shoes, jackets/dresses/suits, and accessories that y'all have been getting at the end of the favors you solve?? Well, we want new stuff. Better stuff!! Get creative! Pretend you're playing dress up, and have fun. Go find a vintage clothing store, and take your camera with you. As for accessories, again, the sky's the limit. Jewelry, cars, animals, gadgets, what have you, as long as it fits in the Sleuth era (1920's - 1940's or earlier), go for it!!

Finally, we need landscape photos of the six cities of Sleuth. If you happen to live in a Sleuth city, WONDERFUL!!! You've got it made! If you've traveled to a Sleuth city, send us your pics! If you live or have traveled to a city that LOOKS like a Sleuth city, go for it too!! We're looking for all kinds of photos about the cities, so get inventive!

We'll be looking for your pics!! ;-D

I'll have to try and find a pic for it, but I think an old Victrola from that period would be cool for the apartments.

Everything takes up so much space though. Perhaps if it only took up 100 sq. ft. or 0 sq. ft. even better. The idea is somewhat like the ballroom, but the sleuth gets to pick his/her own music. So when someone comes to visit and wants to leave a msg. on your board or even to chat, depending on what you have, they can listen to what music you pick while they rummage through yer stuff. Not sure about feasibility.

Or in some cases,(Sophie), while they raid your fridge. lol.

Not sure about feasibility. I'm not a programming type.

From what I've seen, only things that serve a purpose actually take up space in the apartments. The wardrobes, trunks, tables, sofas, etc, all take up room because they store stuff, let people chat or use a message board, etc, etc. (least I'm hoping that's how Ben's programmed things).

I'm hoping most of the stuff we're looking at (barring the above things, which will have the same stats as their current counterparts), will have 0 sq. ft. But we gotta find the stuff first. ;-D
