I have just lost my map for the cargo hold because I stumbled onto guard dogs 3 time...sigh Too bad I didn't side with the Tigers. I guess their influence extends to the ship's cargo hold. Are the Steepers asleep at the wheel?? Can't they find something to neutralize these dogs!! Darn it wait till I get back to Shangri La you useless Steepers grrrr.

Everyone knows that when you are hunting a Villain, you are alone, and you cannot access case files. So, you cannot "pump your character with another character's cases". On the other hand, everyone gets new cases each day. Also those who go with the Tigers. ;-)

I do know that Huglover , I have seen it A LOT OF TIMES and I will see it many many more :~)

But you missunderstood me.What I meant is that even if you lose cases because of Pirates (not in AVHs but in general) ,if you are not in a hurry to finish the AVH and if you have another character that can be used as a pumper for your main character , you don't care about the lost cases coz you know that sooner or later you will get the "lost" experience by your pumper's cases.

When it comes to AVHs , HN is a the only choice in my humble opinion coz it can already take many days to finish an AVH ; you don't want Pirates to prolong your hunt (and something completely irrelevant : I really trully hate Delhi in AVH's)

Since Huglover are in Shangri La, she cannot answer by herself, but I will be voicing her opinion ;-)

So, Mistux, your main concern are getting xp? And, you are jealous of Vampiric Smile because he both have Trap Detection AND have been able to pile up much xp?

I am sorry to inform you that getting his kind of xp is more about doing most of his own daily cases, than about being pumped by someone else. Actually that's quite simple calculations...

If you know what to do, (and subscribe early), you may be able to start doing AI's during your first 10 days of life. Then, if you are doing 10 AI's a day, you will gain about 50 000 xp each day. That means that during 200 days, you could be able to get invited to the 10 mill club. Neither me, Huglover, you nor VS have joined the 10 mill club yet, even if we are all more than 200 days old. The reason why he is closer to get invited are because he have worked harder. And, hey, we also know that you have to work twice as hard to get xp from someone else's case than from your own...?

Oh, yea, it means something to be in an agency, where the other PE's are covered too, but I don't think that is the problem for any of us...?

I might have pumped Huglover's xp if she wanted to, but most of the time she have not been interested in that kind of service from me. She is not really that facinated about climbing the high score list. - and if she is on an AVH and it last for 15 days, she don't care that much, because she is playing her cases for fun, not for xp. Having more characters are for her an ability to play cases when she have the time and inspiration. Sometimes 12-17 cases (using agency case files) are simply not enough!

I have felt it has been unfair that the Pirate Rules were changed after a lot of people already chose their faction. There have been no equivalent changes to trap detection rules, thereby giving the Tigers a slightly unfair advantageous bump in game play.

I always felt it would be fun if there could be a kind of "double agent" option, so you could get to be a steeper and tiger at the same time - but there would need to be some kind of danger of being caught and perhaps kicked out of both if you made some kind of mistake (not random)

If not, I do think there should be some way for steepers to get even temporary trap detection skills/credits, perhaps for favours, in the same way the tigers got the change to the pirate rules. I gave up on the pyramids, because it just got boring and frustrating. Also I would make a map, and it wouldnt be valid the next time I entered the pyramid (unlike in shangri la)

Maybe you could get to be a double agent by solving 25 villain hunts - that would be rather easy to implement, and also give a kind of carrot-on-the-stick needed to keep people interested in the game for a while.

Why do people who joined with the Steepers when they get trouble with traps? I have seen few complains from people who joined with the Tigers complain when they get pirated.

If you read the post where the Pirate Rules was changed, it was not due to people who joined with the Tigers that complained. It was so that people who had not joined with nither the Tigers nor the Steepers (i.e. newbies) would not have that hard time getting pirated.

When you get so much experience that you are able to join with the Tigers, the money it takes, or the cases it takes to travel from one city to another is not so important anymore. (At least for some of us.) Almost all that choose to join with either the Tigers or the Steepers knew that there were traps to detect in Cairo, and that there were pirates to be caught by when travelling. They also knew that you could get a smugglers map to Cairo, in order to be able to go there at all...

I was pirated twice just recently. But did I complain about that? No, I knew which side I had joined, and that it had consequences.

Long live the Prince!

When it comes to double agents, the easiest way to do so are to subscribe another character... ;-)

I have said it before and I'll say it again, I have gone with the Tea Steepers and I don't regret it one bit, yes it makes the pyramids more challenging but I actually like the challenge. There are some here that complain the game has become too simple and they need more of a challenge. Well you want a challenge, try navigating the pyramids without Trap Detection. I have successfully navigated the pyramids enoug times to get a pair of shoes and a place gate key, not to mention the number of secret plans to deliver to the fction of my choice.

It's nobodies place to tell another agent why they should have gone one way or another, if the advice is asked for thats a different story. Being a VHing agent I would get HN all over again if I had the choice and I like the fact that we can't have both, makes the game more interesting.

when I joined the steepers, it was before Cairo and the pyramids, so no, didnt know about the traps as they were yet to be introduced to the game...knew about the pirates though, as those had been around quite a while.
