The Mop Men Competition is officially under way. It runs through Monday, November 22nd. Standings and information can be found from the link on the main City Hall page.

One note, I hadn't included information about how any ties would be broken, so I added that to the rules. Ties will be broken by the amount of money competing detectives have accumulated.

Good Luck to all the competitors.

(Also, maybe you could take the standings off for the 22nd? It would things more dramatic for the last day!)

Anyway, it wouldn't make anything more dramatic for me. I had and still have the highest score, as I only did the hardest cases possible whenever I had the experience to allow me to do them. I have never failed a single case and have the highest possible score for an unsubscribed detective of my age. I entered the competition, not hoping to win, but to see how good other people were. It seems that nobody was really competitive and I was really surprised that nobody equalled me in experience points except for in the first day. Well, my name states my result!!!

I think it would be interesting to note other results of detectives who participated in the contest. I have $3410, 28 solved cases, 0 quit cases and 0 false accusations. I didn't sell anything that I was wearing on the last day as I didn't need to.

This is exciting.

It looks like the appropriately named (and humble) Winner of the Mop Men Competition is a shoo-in for the top spot. However, the other two books are definitely still in reach. There are several detectives with high score who have not yet played today, so we probably won't know the winners until midnight.

Good luck!

Well, I've locked up either 2nd or 3nd, depending on whether shale has played yet today. In comparison to Winner, I have $4188, 25 solved cases, 0 quit and 2 false, which I cleared with Shady. Still wearing my gear from the last day, too. I agree with Winner in thinking that the competition would've been stiffer. After getting 2 false accusations on the 2nd or 3rd day, I thought I was toast.

Two of the detectives with about 4000 experience haven't played yet today, so they still have a shot at 3rd place.

The Mop Men Contest is Over!

Congratulations to our winners, Bryola Blue, Paxton's Sweetheart and the aptly named "The Winner of the Mop Men Competition" who I believe managed to get the maximum possible score in the time given.

Also, thank you very much to Alan Emmins for providing three signed copies of his book, The Mop Men. I encourage any True Crime affitionados out there to check it out.

Thanks for playing.
