are there usually just 3 pieces of evidence? i mean at the crime scene? cause i usually get 3

If a detective does get four pieces of information; out of those four, how many are more specific? (I.E. left-handed handwriting, curly hair, etc.)

Well, all can be specific, or none. It depends on luck and how high your smarts points are at that moment. (Smart skills depend on what clothes you are wearing)

And of course it also depends on your evidence skills.

But even with all the evidence skills and the best smarts gear, you might not get ALL the specific details each time - that's the luck factor.

Most of the time .. when I am wearing all smart equipment. I also have all the smart skills, I usually get all the specific evidence. On the very rare occasion that I don't I have the option to ask for help in our Crime Lab (have to be in an agency that has one)
