Quit or Guess?

I am still on my newbie days and I am faced with an incredibly hard case. This is my status:

* 2 Possible suspects
* 3 possible physical evidences that could apply to either suspect
* 1 of them "think he knows" who the killer is (not sure if this is something to consider or not)
* The three sources to verify my physical evidence are clammed.
* I already have 2 false accusations and no money to pay the shady character.

Q1: Should I take a lucky guess and choose a suspect? Or should I quit the case?

Q2: If I get suspended what happens exactly?

What would you do or recomend??

Oh, no no no no no no no!
1. Never guess, that is a BAD idea. There are numerous posts on this newbie board that says the same, I guess you must have seen them otherwise you wouldn't be asking this question right?
2. If you guess wrongly, you'll get a False Accusation on your record (hereafter known as an FA). So what happens if you get one? Well, nothing. What about two? Well, also nothing. What about three? Ah, that's where things get interesting! If you get a third FA, you automatically get retired. All that hard work, cases done, contacts gained, money saved up, all useless! "But topkebab I can reactivate my detective" you say, "Ah yes" I say but you lose almost everything in the process. (You can find some threads on this board which specify exactly what you lose). "But topkebab I just won't guess after I get 2 FAs" you say, "haha" I say it would be interesting to see exactly how many seasoned detectives here have got an FA by making a simple mistake rather than guessing.
Conclusion = don't guess, better quit than sorry.

Woah TK, was that a seriously long rant or what?!

The abbreviated version:

Do NOT guess, it isn't worth it in the long run.

:D

Well I did it, I quit the case.

I had no idea the happenings for NOT catching my suspect would be so debastating. Talk about making a detective feeling the pressure of the responsabilites of not catching the killer.

Thank you topkebab for the quick response by the way! =)

Oh hey, don't go thinking I'm a nice person cos I'm not! No no no, you don't wanna see me when I'm mad! Oh wait... most people will probably tell you I AM a bit mad. *shrug*

I forgot to mention also, that Shady can help you if you get an FA, BUT it will be very very very expensive, again it's not worth guessing.

We ALL have to quit cases sometimes. Just part of the game.

If tk is nice then I'm the Pope! She not giving herself enough credit about being mad though! Shes a downright lunatic! :-P

Like Mooselady says, we all have to quit cases unless we want to make shady even richer than he already is!
