hey everyone,

not sure if this is the right place to post but anyway...

for some reason my sleuth has been running REALLY slowly. Everytime I open a new page, every single thing takes a really long tim to load (each of the links up the top takes 10 second each... at least). It's not usually like this and it's only been since the sleuthetania (in fact I was unable to enjoy my voyage because of it).

i still love sleuth, but I can't really play cases anymore cause it takes 5 times longer that usual (especially with sleuth helper - because it has to wait for everything else to load). It's not just my internet because everything else is working fine.

Is there something wrong, or is something only dodgy for me????

It has been dodgy for me too. I thought it was because of my internet or installing the new sleuth helper. I do have to wait a long time for the sleuth helper to catch up and everything to load. I don't know if Sleuthania has anything to do with it or not. That might just be a coincidence.

Yup since the ship launched it has been kinda slow on my end too, but around here we're used to it running slow and then picking up again. I'm sure Ben will work on that as soon as he can to make it run faster. :)

The sleuth server have been this way a long time....
When we are working here, solving cases, some small portions of data seems to be stored on the server....
- and all this data will make the server go slower and slower with time.

When the server is restarted, or there is a cleanup done (which Ben does regularly I think), the speed is going up again....

I think that since SoM came, and drained a lot of users from Noir, the server have been faster almost all the time. Yes, there were some glimpses of really fast responses, but mostly it was way much slower before.

The speed seem to be dependent on the amount of concurrent users also, so if you log on when there is few other users, chance are big that you will have an nice speed.

hmmm, I usually log on when there are very few people on becuase i live in Australia so when i'm awake, you're asleep.

it's still going very slowly, which is especially a problem with my sleuth helper because it needs to recognise the alibi and characteristics!

Maybe I have some weird good luck... but I haven't had any issues at all. I was on the maiden voyage of the Sleuthetania and it was flying. I actually never did experience any of the performance issues people talk about, except at changeover and brief moments from time to time. Red Lips, I am playing right now and everything is fine. Like I said, maybe weird good luck or maybe I have my own server dedicated to me ;) but maybe something else is going on with your internet connection?

Seems to me that things have slowed down a tiny bit for the past week or so, but not so much that it affects my gameplay.

no idea what a fiber optic problem is... but it's still REALLY slow. I haven't played cases in ages cause it's so frustrating!!! damn computers *shakes fist*
