Why when you have enough skill points to get a certain skill it wont show up? I had 13 points one time and it only takes 12 to get safe cracking but the skill didn't show up for me to choose! Help Plz

Safe cracking is a special skill that you have to get directly from a faction, rather than simply earning it.
Safecracking comes from La Cosa Nostra. You have to be in very good with them (I think 25 or better, might be 30) before they will teach you their special skill.
Each faction has its own special skill
Dies Arcanum has pickpocketing.
Order of Socrates has hypnosis.

I notice you already have 20 with LCN, so when you go visit the Don, he will probably say he doesn't know you well enough yet. But you will get there soon!
And just to spare you the frustration we went through - safecracking ONLY works on the last favor of a hunt that uses keys.

BUT, if you look in help it has a list of all of the skills and one of them is safecracking for 12 skill points! why would it be in there if you can't just get it yourself! I think they need to change that!

That's not safe cracking Britney, that is lock picking. :)
Lock picking, is a great skill. Sometimes when you go interview a suspect, it says they are not home. You can lock pick their lock, and snoop around their house. With that you either get more suspects, or an alibi.

Majandra, no. You only find a locked house the first time you attempt to visit. You either pick the lock, or you leave. After that, they are always home. They might not be alive, and they might not talk to you even if they are, but they'll be home.

Safe Cracking 12 There is more than one way into a locked safe no that is exactly what it says in help jskdn :)
