Ok, so I have been wondering if themes help you in any way? I have seen the two themes you can choose from at the beginning of the game (Shady Character or Classic Sleuth) and the ones from the factions. I want to know if it is worth spending my money on to get them, if possible.

There is no real purpose to themes other than complimenting your detective page. They do not help in your sleuthing at all. If you have a lot of money then you can try to obtain them all just for the fun of it. Theme #1 however, has eluded all of the sleuthville detectives so far. No one seems to be able to find it..lol
