Ahoy!

The USS Sleuthetania expansion will be ready at 6pm MDT tomorrow (Saturday 6/14). The ship will stay docked in New York from that time until Sunday night, after which she will set sail on her maiden voyage.

Once aboard, you're committed to staying on the ship for three days of travel time (counting from the time she leaves port). So, make sure to pack an extra pair of socks!

Just wondering what time the Sleuthania docks...last night, around 12am eastern time the skipper told me we were 2 days out from Shanghai. Today, at 9:33 pm I've been kicked off! Is there a regular time schedule?

This question has been asked in the past. I believe the ship docks about 2-3pm SST, give or take a few hours. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Ms. Lolita Martinez asked pretty much the same thing a couple weeks ago. Quote:

I had mistakenly assumed I still had a few hours aboard to finish those cases and favours, aiming for a look at the cargo hold but now I find that the days are timed different aboard the ship. Is there a definite timetable somewhere that will tell me what times the ship leaves and docks because I just thought it went on the same clock as the game server?

And I replied to it with the following:

As they say in Hertz commercials....

Nottttt exactly.

:-.

Technically, yes, it's s'pposed to operate on the same clock as the server and the rest of Sleuth. But the boat's been a bit of an individualistic creature since its inception. It leaves when it wants to, and arrives about the same way. Sorry.

I think most departures and arrivals happen around 2 or 3 pm (don't keelhaul me if I'm wrong ;-).

So, there ya have it. When you board the boat, you take yer chances a bit with how long you'll actually be on the critter. Sorry. Hope that helps.

You're fine. Just hope you don't get caught in the shower or something next time they throw you off. That could get embarrassing!! O.O

lol. ooh maybe I can summon up a Nephi suggestion to help you out skip. Where if you want to get off the ship early you can buy a life jacket and jump overboard. You then grab a passing fin circling in the water. If the fin turns out to be a shark you die a horrible bloody death equivalent to three FA's and your account is cancelled and your IP blocked, but if it turns out to be a dolphin you are towed to shore, where you are met by met by pirates, die a horrible bloody death equivalent to three FA's and your account is cancelled and your IP blocked.

hmmm no wait that can't be right :s oh well I haven't really got this whole risk vs reward thing down pat yet :D

I saw some dolphins swimming next to the Ocean Liner this morning at breakfast. Look liked Indian Ocean dolphins, wonder how they ended up in the Pacific - probably curiosity! Sea was rough, so they emptied out the pool, couldn;t go for my usual morning swim. Also saw an interesting Jelly Fish - I thought they usually keep close to land?

I assume you saw this on the Sleuthania. I have no personal experience of the liner, but it sounds to me as if you are near India. Is it possible the Sleuthania went off course and is landing there? Or maybe it just set off on a cruise through Australasia, round the southern tip of Africa and out into the Atlantic? No idea. Try PM-ing an Admin (Private Mail not Prime Minister) or one of the moderator. They usually answer such question. Or ask some older Sleuths if they've had similar experiences. Newbie Questions may also help.
