Well it never took off over on the AVL site, so Dawg Pound Investigations is proud to announce that we will be holding a tournament. lilangel and myself have been working the past few weeks to get enough teams interested and finally have them together. If all goes well, there will be more tournaments to follow which we will make open to all agencies. Our tournament will begin on Monday, April 14 and will be 4 or 5 rounds. details can be viewed here:

Any questions feel free to PM me. We will also use this thread for any trash talking that the players want to begin with. Let the fun begin! :-D

Also I have no problem about showing exactly where I'm at. The only way I can see it being a problem is someone wants to guess to move ahead.

My goal in a competition is to move ahead as best I can. If I lose, I don't care and I truly enjoy all the new friends I've made. That to me is the best prize!

Ctown, you know i'm all for this idea. I post mine in my bio already as do a few others.

I'm sure it would make it easier on you because I wouldn't have to ask you anymore where other people are in their hunts. ;)

Ok just catching up on this. In terms of AVH comp, I think I liked the idea that people didn't know where I was on my hunts. I could tell them I was in stuck in City 2 on Day 3 (when I was really about to solve) or City 4 on Day 2 (when I was nowhere near it). I think the air of uncertainty, wondering where your opponent is in relation to you, or even if the info they are offering you is true or false, adds an edge to the compettion.

Ahh, another side of the discussion, glad to see it. Me personally, I don't worry too much about it, I just do what I can on my hunts. I do sometimes ask people, but thats just being nosy! ;-)

I'm inclined to agree with SS. The mystery and stress (lol) of wondering where your competition can be kinda of exciting.

But, I also think it's perfectly allright to tell someone if you choose. Then it's up to that person to believe you or not.

I agree with SS and brick. I think the devious nature of no one knowing how you are doing in the hunt, unless you tell them, is a fun part of the competitive nature of tournaments. Of course that doesn't stop ppl from posting their progress if they want to.
