Well it never took off over on the AVL site, so Dawg Pound Investigations is proud to announce that we will be holding a tournament. lilangel and myself have been working the past few weeks to get enough teams interested and finally have them together. If all goes well, there will be more tournaments to follow which we will make open to all agencies. Our tournament will begin on Monday, April 14 and will be 4 or 5 rounds. details can be viewed here:

Any questions feel free to PM me. We will also use this thread for any trash talking that the players want to begin with. Let the fun begin! :-D

I couldn't agree more that a Failed Hunt should NOT be grounds for a DQ. After some thought, I'm (somewhat) in agreement with SS in that I don't particularly like alternates. What I would suggest is make it a true tag team match...

failed a hunt? out of funds? bogged down in Delhi and about to put a gun to your own head because you've not gotten a new clue in the last 18 cases? TAG! Par of being in a tag match is knowing when you're outmatched and calling in a replacement.

To win each team member would still have to work completely through a new VH without failing or tagging out. The Prince's Palace becomes the corner of the ring - you have to be able to get there to be tagged in.

It may, as SS suggests, encourage guessing somewhat. But as long as everyone knows up front it's a fair tactic. It might even open the door for the sort of underdog come-from-behind victory that make RL tag matches so exciting.

Best of luck to all who finished today and their tag partners!!!! Congrats!

(I was only one case from..... sigh..... ) And yes I hope all the best for everyone! I guess we still have a chance to win, if all you skillful people with skillful partners, lose some luck.......! A bit of a long shot, but got to love the long shot odds!!!!

Go for it everyone!

I believe that it was a good decision ctown. It's only fair that the other team member has a chance to play :))))

Looks like we have a couple of captures so far and the match goes into overtime for at least two teams. turtledove has captured and tagged back to topkebab and MystieBlue has taked back to Samantha Waters. At least two of them will be starting again at turnover!

and a small mistake on my part, I didn't notice that Secret Squirrell captured so brick will be starting again at turnover
