Well it never took off over on the AVL site, so Dawg Pound Investigations is proud to announce that we will be holding a tournament. lilangel and myself have been working the past few weeks to get enough teams interested and finally have them together. If all goes well, there will be more tournaments to follow which we will make open to all agencies. Our tournament will begin on Monday, April 14 and will be 4 or 5 rounds. details can be viewed here:

I also agree and that is a scenario we have looked at, one thing that we are doing, while it is unofficial, is not having our latest recruit, Aunt Pittypat play in the tourney for us, she she was not a member of the agency at the beginning or the tourney. I think everyone will understand that, roster changing between rounds I think is fine as long as the det is back to his/her agency before the next round starts. This allows for dets to visit other agencies to deliver items they would like to trade/donate to other agencies.

Just 2 short hours away until the launch of round 3, I bet the anticipation is just killing everyone.

2 teams will get eliminated this round and will join Wish on the sidelines, one team will get a 2 round break as we head to the 2nd half after this round. Who will they be? Stayed tuned for the answers to this question.

Rumor has it, the Sirens are pulling out all the stops, but I can't confirm any of that, or can I? :-P

Thoughts for possible improvement:-

1. Tweak the scoring. At the moment the scoring is biased towards getting a complete team home on day 4. There is little incentive to finish on Day three unless the entire team can finish on day three. I'd like to see a team with 2 finishes on Day three and one on Day 4 beat a team with three finishes on Day 4.

2. Improve the tiebreaker rules. One possibility is to have the first tiebreaker to be which captain finished earliest in terms of days. At the moment a captain who finishes as the second agent on day 4 will beat a captain who finished on day three in the tiebreaker. We also need a third tiebreaker, as the current rule (and my proposed one) wont help if as looks likely DPI and Sirens tie in the current match.

Extra thought on the tiebreaker:- Maybe nominate a vice captain. If the captains can't be separated then go the vice captains.

If they are tied as well then maybe we go to a replay or something. Any other ideas on tiebreakers?
