A thread in a message board in a mystery game on the internet in the 21st century (i.e. reality) about everything and nothing. Just a place to hang out when the cases are done and the addiction still lingers.

Welcome! Some things you should know:
1. You can't wander off topic, there isn't one.
2. Fighting or bickering will not be tolerated, as per the Code of Conduct.

http://noir.playsleuth.com/help/conduct.html

3. Even though YOU happen to be a dear sweet gentle lamb, if your sleuth persona wants to fight or bicker "in character", it's STILL fighting and bickering.
4. Polite and passive aggressive fighting and bickering is STILL...etc etc.
5. Feel free to converse, emote, ramble, post in 3rd person or spanglish, whatever suits your fancy. It's unhijackable!

No, biggie, *hands her a hanky*, we didn't forget you.

If you look at the beginning of this thread you'll see we considered yours and after several grueling days of bickering back and forth over the pros and cons we decided to use the new one. Reason being that no one would worry about having said something that's been said before on a new thread. Sometimes a new thread is more "newbie friendly" than an existing one.

We just did what we learned from you, how to be nice ;)

Mid-Life Crisis
When I was married 25 years, I took a look at my wife one day and said, “Honey, 25 years ago, we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10 inch black and white TV. But now I have a big bed and a plasma screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 50 year old woman. It seems to me that you are not holding up your side of things.”

My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 25 year old blonde, and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, and sleeping on a sofa bed.

Aren't older women great? They really know to solve your mid-life crises...

Prison Vs Work

IN PRISON...you spend the majority of your time in an 8x10 cell.
AT WORK...you spend most of your time in a 6x8 cubicle.

IN PRISON...you get three meals a day.
AT WORK...you only get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it.

IN PRISON...you get time off for good behavior.
AT WORK...you get rewarded for good behavior with more work.

IN PRISON...a guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK...you must carry around a security card and unlock and open all the doors yourself.

IN PRISON...you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK...you get fired for watching TV and playing games.

IN PRISON...you get your own toilet.
AT WORK...you have to share.

IN PRISON...they allow your family and friends to visit.
AT WORK...you cannot even speak to your family and friends.

IN PRISON...all expenses are paid by taxpayers with no work required
AT WORK...you get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.

IN PRISON...you spend most of your life looking through bars from the inside wanting to get out.
AT WORK...you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

IN PRISON...there are wardens who are often sadistic.
AT WORK...they are called managers.
