Okay, I started my first AVH hunt yesterday. I've done 21 cases, and have gotten the same 3 clues over and over again.

There is something wrong with this...

Can I just quit and start another one? This is getting ridiculous.

You can, yes, but it will count as a failed hunt.

Believe it or not, yours is not an unusual case, Diane. We've all dealt with multiple repeats. (Repeats are actually easier to handle, in my book, because at least you're getting experience and possibly some money out of them. Quits are the ones I don't like.) I'd urge you to keep going. You WILL eventually get the clues you need, probably when you least expect them to come. Try and be patient. :-)

Thanks, guys, but I really am thinking that this particular hunt has a bug or something.

I know people get the same clues in these hunts, but 3 in 21 cases??? That averages repeats of 7 each. Isn't that a bit of overkill?

I don't want to have a failed hunt on my page - we should have the option to just quit because I think this is ridiculous and there is no more pleasure in this hunt.

Well guess what? I decided to just guess the townie (it was narrowed down to two) and if I failed, I failed.

I just happened to guess correctly. Looks like I'm stuck with this guy whether I want him or not!

I sure wish the clues had the same odds as my guesses.

I hate Delhi, by the way. Smelly Delhi.

For what its worth Diane, I once had to solve 24 cases in Delhi before I finally got the clue I needed to catch the guy, so what has happened to you here is not unheard of, I don't think it was a bug, just bad luck.

And I don't like Delhi much either!

To me, quits are the ones that are the hair-pullers. When you get down to 2 suspects, and can't confirm which one it is, THAT'S annoying. And when you get NINE of those in a row (not during the whole hunt, IN...A...ROW!!!), now THAT'S frustrating. :-/

Tell ya what....

I'll trade your 21 repeats for my nine quits?? Please?? ;-D

Keep going Diane! I agree David and Breit, the quits are really frustrating, at least with repeats you're getting money and XP.

Not that I'm an expert or anything!

I love these posts. :D Mainly coz I remember my own frustration in that very first AV case. lol and all those poor buggers that got the glitched hunts that couldn't be solved.

Yep 9 quits in a row. *shudders*.

Try 8 clues the same in a row!! < that's my fave!

Oh and it's nothing to spend 4+ days in Delhi :) My voodoo place is London :s which is why my apartment is there, so I could help myself to some smarts gear.

Thanks, everyone... I guess it really IS that bad sometimes!

BTW, I hope that the reward is well worth this frustration... like a Prada handbag or Jimmy Choo pumps! ;)

Ah yes, I remember with frustration spending 5 days in Delhi on an AVH with the same clues over and over and over again! I believe that was my first finished hunt where got a Black Mink Coat for all my hair pulling, but fortunately I didn't lose but about $1500. lol The other 2 hunts I did in around 4 days and cost me much more....So some are quick and others are not, some cost ya and others don't.

Just stick with it and good luck! :)
