I am anxious to do the treasure hunts. What I want to know is if I joined an agency am I required to stay in there? All I want to do is see what the treasure hunts are like. I am really trying to save my dollars to rent my own place with a crime lab. (I saw somewhere else that's important to have) Anyway, if I joined an agency am I obligated to stay there or could I still start my own?

I agree with Moonshh. I think the part about being upfront is crucial. I wouldn't mind (if I had space) supporting a new agent while she built up the resources to open her own agency - but I'd like to know that intent was there from the start.
I think, to be competitive in hunts, the agencies are becoming bigger (12 for the most competitive) and more 'corporate' in their management. Its hard for a smaller or newer agency to crack into the game.
But it would be better to learn what's involved in managing the agencies by joining an existing one. Good luck!

I also wouldnt mind if u join us for a while just to c how it is. as long as u play fair and while u r in u r helping out. i do think that there r a lot of agencies and its becoming really hard to find new ppl to join an agency. everyone is trying to open their own. what u could also do is try to climb up in existing agency so u can influence the way it work. at fat kitten we would very much like to have some1 like that that wants to stay long and help it grow again.

I would take Reda up on her offer, Kitten is one of the first agencies every created, if not THE first agency. So they must have a tun of expertise.

It's not THE first agency ;) - it's Myers & Seymore - although there might have been 1 or 2 earlier ones not beloging to Ben but which have since gone under :)

Reda,
Okay so what exactly do I do now to get into your agency? Can you walk me through the steps? Also, is it really okay with you if I don't intend on staying on a long term basis? What I mean is that yes I would want to stay for a good while to learn everything & accumulate what I need. Then, I definitely want to venture out on my own. Which would probably take a good while because I am just now starting to even get the hang of things. Like, I just got the clue & found the Cabaret last night. (THAT WAS REALLY COOL!)

Thanks Greyling....I wasn't sure. I think I hopped on somewhere in the Tompkins, Kitten era. Wow, I just checked almost 200 days ago! Time flies.

Reda can send you an invite, when you get it, you accept it!

Sure things :) - although, I wouldn't really call it the Tompkins-Kitten era ;) More Myers & Seymore-Chicago-Kitten era (since those 3 are about the only ones left from the time of beta-testing whereas Tompkins wasn't founded until almost a month later :p )

Oh, and sorry for running off topic here on your job application Madame TBird :)
